Basically destiny was supposed to be this ever expanding mmo experience. Ill wait for the dumbass fanboys who prefer less for more
-
Also, not D1. But Destiny as a series.

3 RepliesNo single console game can last 10 years.
-
No the franchise is supposed to last 10 years Take call of duty for instance, there are like 13 of them. But they're all apart of the "call of duty" franchise.
-
4 RepliesNo, I think the original plan was a 3 game franchise over the course of 10 years.
-
10 RepliesDiablo 2 reigned supreme for 12 years before its sequel. And it held its consumers with just a single paid expansion and all other updates were free. There were no first party micro transactions. Same publisher. Games aren't made like they used to be.

...no

7 RepliesWhen you grind the suck, you get the rewards, until its all nerfed and taken from you. - Bungie Motto The makers of anthem are saying the same thing (support for 10 years, maybe)... Well hopefully they learn from bungies -blam!-ups over the years and make a better space adventure.

Edited by Saxifraga: 8/3/2017 8:34:43 AMBungie said that it was "a misconception they did nothing to dispell" (or so), because it was a nice myth that helped them build hype for the game. Was some Gameinformer interview or so. They just have a ten your agreement with Activision to milk gamers pockets.

Lel no

No, the franchise. If D2 goes for 3 years like D1, expect 2 more Destiny games. (3+3+3+3=12) Why do I think 12 years of Destiny? I expect the last game to have more expansions, and D3 is rumored to finally introduce the Darkness.
-
Dummy.
-
No. The "franchise" for ten years.
-
No, in the contract from 2010 it clearly states 4 games.
-
No, they said destiny was a 10 year plan, nothing about only a single game.
-
3 RepliesI think this is probably ok, because D1 launched on previous gen consoles too. I feel like that limited the game's potential right out the gate.

Negative they said the destiny series was a 10 year contract, not destiny 1 persé

Whoever told you this has misinformed you.
-
The franchise but you already knew this
-
It was a 10 year marketing agreement between Bungie and Activision.
-
Nope.
