What is the cabal's actual name for their species
I have always wondered what the cabals factual name for the species is like how the fallen's real name is the Eliksni what is the name for their species if we know yet could anyone tell me and I would also like to know the psions real names as well

2 RepliesIm curious about this too.. Fallen like you said are called Eliksni, the Hive are actually Krill... are the Vex just called Vex, or do they have another name? Im sure since the vex are just machine held together by data they might not even have a name.. so what do the cabal call themselves..

Fallen and hive have names for their species and vex are just vex, but cabal history is not completely told. We may find out in D2, or we may not. At this point it's a waiting game to find out.

1 ReplyWe only know 2 things aboot the cabal, 1. its built up of several races (main turtle-cabals, psions and warbeasts at the very least) 2. The closest we've gotten to describing the cabal is the phrase "cabal morphs" this could support point 1., or it implies that the cabal have genetically modified themselves to fill different roles within their military (PS: the other races do have descriptions for us, but no names. The undead, dead things, words like that)

By definition that means their armed forces are made up of mostly conscripted conquered species and homeworlders doing their tour of duty for citizenship.. Bungie of course haven't pulled that off particularly well, given that both their majors and cannon fodder are clearly the same species but you catch my drift. Most likely, if there is any thought out backstory to their origins, the army is made up of members of their home world species doing a tour of duty in order to return home to be fully fledged citizens, and slaves in thrall to the empire made up of conquered species
