It's going to suck in PvE
-
Why will it suck in pve?
-
Because the ammo runs out quickly and the only thing we use that does a viable amount of dps power ammo drops rarely you will have a lot of bullet sponges

Edited by draycole: 7/31/2017 7:23:13 PMThey melted the strike boss in under a minute and a half. While being 10 light levels under the recommendation. And with beta weapons, abilities, and perks https://youtu.be/_v-4vycsH6s
-
So they don't represent the average person also this is raids I am talking about
-
No it means a coordinated team can easily dps a boss And a coordinated team is what you should have if attempting a raid. You should also be properly geared up. And not only have a small selection of weapons and armor to complete these activities. Annnd might I add, that in D2 enemies are designed around the two primary loadout. Which is why they can be melted with primaries because they are much less spongy.
-
What else do you see in your crystal ball?
-
I agree.
-
Enjoy raiding with 2 primaries.
-
Cheers, I will enjoy raiding with a kinetic, energy and power weapon
-
Have fun shooting a boss 2,000 times.
-
I would hope D2 is more about mechanics than how much DPS I can do with a sniper
-
Yay! More mechanics! Now even more people won't know what the -blam!- they're doing in the strikes/raids.
-
Who wants everything to be about DPS, that's just repetitive and more restricting on weapon choice with the old set of weapons, than more mechanics with the new weapon system. I'm up for a challenge anyway
-
I don't want everything to be about DPS. I want to be able to do effective DPS when I need to. The 2 primary system prevents that.
-
If you think about it the only raid you actually need a sniper for is Kings Fall, the rest of them you can do without. I'm sure that you will be able to do enough damage when needed and we don't yet know what options there are for the energy weapon slot. We only just found out about the Coldheart trace rifle and I don't think that will be the only surprise
-
I use sniper shotgun/rocket sleeper sword all the time in Destiny. This new loadout completely kills the freedom of choice we have in D1. Having to pic 1 out of 6 different heavy weapons is -blam!-ing ridiculous.
-
Like I say we don't yet know what options there are for the energy weapon and power weapon slots or even the kinetic weapons for that matter. There's no point in evaluating the new weapon system with the types of weapons we have in Destiny. The Coldheart trace rifle is a new archetype and there will be more different archetypes I'm sure
-

IE: Handcannon, Auto/Pulse/Scout Rifle, Sidearm, SMG Power Weapons are Sword, Shotgun, Rocket, Sniper Cold Heart is a Power Weapon if I read correctly.
-
Your list of weapon archetypes is not complete, missing archetypes we know will be in D2 and the ones that we don't yet know. Here is what I've heard about the Coldheart trace rifle Taking to Twitter to answer the rumors once and for all, Jon Weisnewski, who serves as senior gameplay director on Destiny 2, confirmed that the pre-order weapon fires arc damage, and not a fourth element type such as frost or ice. The weapon sits in the player’s energy slot

You didn't read what I put properly Some things we don't know, like what other archetypes there might be, it is irrelevant if they are kinetic, energy or power Where is the confirmation that Coldheart is a power weapon?

You are correct. It is an energy weapon...however the video continues saying that it is the only trace rifle in the game.
-
Yes you're right and it's the only trace rifle but how many other different archetypes could there be that could totally change the look of your load out
-
Effective DPS is only relative. If a bosses health is lower and if everyone only has 1 DPS weapon, then effective DPS will be posible.
-
My point is it isn't fun.
