1)Further info from twitter confirms cold heart deals Arc damage and sits in the energy weapon slot.
2)Players who don't preorder will still get the hands on the gun this December.
On a separate note I have to say I don't know what's happened on this forum of late but the sheer amount of loathing/hate for any new announcement is beyond belief - in fact I would go as far as to say that the forums are in the worst state I have seen since the original titles release. Quite why anyone from Bungie would ever bother reading some of the disrespectful comments on here I don't know...
Criticise by all means, it will help them build a better game but please do so with some humility & respect.
How would you feel if you had spent years working on something only to be ruthlessly ridiculed for it (before it's even been launched)? A little empathy goes a long way.

I honestly still believe they broke the game on purpose. They want to start off with week characters and slowly increase the damage until it's at a good place. I think that plan backfired. Most of the game is great, people don't talk about it. landscapes, music, autos, pulses, subs, (the fusion pvp only) are all awesome. If you like trials you should be happy. Most of the positive people make dumb posts: "I really like the fact that I only use one weapon, now I don't have to worry about my loadout..." OR they insult 1/2 of the forums. Most of us are on here looking for some good news. But are too busy being pissed about the weapons and ability situation. There's been bad news after bad news... Having 2 primaries for PVE was a horrible idea and I bet more than 1/2 of the developers would agree. No separation of PVE and PVP... That should have been a no brainer. Issue #1... What the hell were you thinking. Personally I could live without the special ammo, but the power weapons were such crap. I'm sure there will be better options in the final game, but why not give us a couple of decent PVE weapons for the beta. Supers were so neutered, it's hard to image them fixed. Bongo always double downs on a bad idea. Make supers weak and slow the recharge rate to once every 10 minutes.

I mean it should be obvious it is arc from the IGN video, they blatantly stated that the fuel doubles as a coolant. Not that it is cold energy or fuel or whatever. It's still using the fuel to fire arc light energy. Though I can understand the confusion.

This is the only type of trace rifle being introduced in the game at launch people have a right to be pissed at a pay to play tactic simply because bungie wants their pre order numbers up

You don't have a right to be pissed. bungie made a game they can do whatever they like with it. you don't have to play and if you do you can get the gun later so it's not as big of a deal as you're making it. [spoiler]I don't think it's a bad idea marketing wise either. [/spoiler]
