If you didn't enjoy the beta that's fine. You don't have to talk about it on the forums. The main thing you talked about was the 4v4 crucible, which myself and many other players think was a good change. Stop talking about your opinions as if they are facts.

Hahahahahaha :') ''You don't have to talk about it on the forums.'' How dare he! Coming on the forum of the actual game he is talking about giving his opinion. Blasfemie!! Jezus dude do you even understand what the actual purpose of a forum is?
-
Edited by iDovahBear: 7/26/2017 6:00:15 AMBut our opinions are a fact in the sense they are our opinions and we are expressly giving them, hence Feedback. Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the idea, allow me to try and explain it for you: Players come here with their thoughts and opinions and express them through a post and thread, to be discovered and discussed. If you don't want people to be able to give Feedback, ask Bungie to get rid of Feedback. Or do you just want Candyland Feedback Threads where nobody ever discusses their reservations with the game?
-
He's literally talking about what is so wrong with some the philosophies. Aka feedback. They asked us for feedback
-
His philosophies were fine. The way he presented them sounded hostile as if he was trying to say that anyone that disagrees with him is a total idiot.
-
He's not perfect, but he's definitely got the reasoning correct
-
So are you saying anyone that has some skepticism or constructive criticism after playing the beta should not talk about on a feedback forum. Only leave glowing reviews please. Lol
-
Constructive criticism is fine. I read his entire article and I can say for sure that most of it was not constructive. All he did was talk about how he thinks Bungie employees say stupid things, and how he thinks they are ruining Destiny. He gave almost no suggestions to how to solve the problem, except that they should delay it. A well thought argument goes through problems, and then discusses how to fix said problems.
-
Butthurt democrate, go resist something! ^
-
What the hell was that? Your spelling and grammar are terrible, and you are completely off topic. If you don't have something relevant to say then don't say anything at all.
-
I can see where you're coming from. What I got from it was that the op feels things are becoming over simplified. For example the new set up for skill trees. I had no problem before choosing which subclass perks I wanted to use. I would rather be able to choose perks for myself rather than unlocking a set group of perks. Also I can see the PvP point. Changes have been made to move to a more competitive PvP. There have been changes to limit what competitive PvP players deem cheap kills. These changes include the removal of heavy machine guns, weaker grenades, slower recharge rates for abilities and supers, and the changes to the heavy ammo economy. Now instead of a whole team getting heavy ammo it's limited to one player and your using a rocket launcher you get one round. At least I only got one round for the one I used in the past beta. The new weapons load out is also meant to keep people from overusing ohk weapons like shotguns and snipers in PvP. I actually think I did better in the beta PvP than in D1 crucible. But some people feel like instead being grander things have been dialed down and scaled back. I think also it depends on the type of player you are. Yes people like the smaller more team oriented matches where most kills will be from your primary weapons. Meanwhile other people were hoping for large scale battles with vehicles, more players, and a multitude of abilities at your disposal. Sorry for such a long reply.
-
I agree that subclasses should have more choices, since we only have 2 paths to choose from making customization limited. I like the change to special weapons in the power slot because it does make pvp more frustrating, while not ruining pve in my opinion. It would be nice to see more variety in crucible playlists such as a 4v4 gamemode, and something bigger like an 8v8. However just having 4v4 is fine for me at launch, and if I want to play big maps with more players and vehicles I could always play Battlefield. I just don't think Destiny needs to have every option possible. At least not at launch.
-
I'm not trying to pick on you, but don't you think that it's implied that for all the bad things he listed, his suggestion to improve the game is to undo and/or remove the things that he's being critical about? Yeah, he didn't frame it that way, but you can sort of understand that, right?
-
I think his idea is ok, it's just the way that he presented his idea. His sentences sound insulting and hostile if you disagree. I disagreed in my original post and now I'm getting a bunch of hate from him and other players. No matter what your opinion is, you shouldn't intentionally create a hostile environment.
-
Edited by Rayland_Givens_: 7/26/2017 1:40:09 AMLets all plant some trees and hug them...^ dude he gave a well thought out opinion using the dev team's own words! Hostility sounded like frustration to me for all the simplification. I'm sure if he were talking to Smith or Noseworthy he would try to give solutions, but unless he is a tech wizard they would speak about solutions in a way he wouldn't comprehend anyway.
-
I've already said this countless times in this comment section. I just think that he sounded too hostile in his argument and that if he wanted to make a better point he should've sounded less angry. He sounded like he was making fun of the developers comments instead of actually giving reason to his argument.
-
Well, for my part, if I was hostile towards you (and yeah, I kinda was) I apologize. You're free to have your opinion too. I'm glad you're happy with the game. Many others are too. Some of us aren't, though. But don't worry. They aren't going to delay the game, they might make some changes that'll make me feel better so I'm hoping for that. Again, I'm sorry if I came across too harsh in my replies to you. You seem like a good guy.
-
Thanks. I'm sorry too if I said anything offensive. I just really like things in the game the way they are and apart from minor tweaks I don't want much to change. After seeing post after post of criticism about Destiny 2, I just get really annoyed. I hope you can enjoy this game as much as I can, I just hope it can be done in a way that makes both of us happy.

Edited by Nineball2112: 7/26/2017 12:53:13 AMSo tired of this kind of thing: "Stop talking about your opinions as if they are facts." Show me ANYWHERE in his post that he stated his opinions are facts. WHERE in the hell is this stuff coming from? You're not the only one around here that has thrown that line out lately. Is this what they teach in high school and colleges now? That if someone's opinion upsets you then throw out the red herring that they are trying to say their opinion is fact? I don't get this at all. NO ONE has said their opinions are FACTS. They are opinions and people are FREE to express how they feel so long as it doesn't violate Bungie's Terms of Use agreement when you made an account. Sheesh....
-
He said that 4v4 is a bad change. Saying it that way implies that it is a fact. He should have said "I don't like the 4v4 change," or "I think the 4v4 change hurts pvp."
-
If I come in to your restaurant and buy a meal, there's a chance you might come by and ask how my experience was. I might say "pretty good, but the crab cakes didn't taste very good." You can ask for more feedback if you like, but rest assured, that WAS feedback. I don't have to offer suggestions on how to cook it better. I'm a paying customer, it's your job to serve a palatable meal. Additionally, if enough people complain about it you'd better do something about the crab cakes.
-
Yes but what the OP is saying is that "the crab cakes weren't very good, I think they were made for children." It's just a stupid thing to say and is complete conjecture.
-
Edited by ironBill: 7/26/2017 2:19:44 AMI'm not defending the OP. The person to whom I'm responding stated feedback requires alternative solutions. That's not true.
-
Oh I see. I understand why people believe that though. It's part of standard problem solving. You can give good feedback without providing a solution. That's what discussion is for. The OP however is reaching very hard for his "conclusion".
-
Correct. Problem solving requires first accurately identifying the problem. After that a list of possible solutions. Maybe that happens at the point of identifying the problem, maybe it doesn't. As for the OP... too emotional.
-
It would help drastically if you could tell them what is wrong with the crab cakes. Maybe they had too much seasoning. If you tell the chief that they can make the change right away instead of testing it for themself. All I'm saying is that he could've given more advice instead of telling Bungie that they don't know what they're doing with their game over and over.
