In destiny one hand cannons killed in three shots, they now kill in four as the optimal time to kill. With slower time to kills and the time to kill of many weapons being similar, you can't really afford to miss shots anymore. I have point blank missed headshots that were completely on target, and it happens when I'm relying on the weapon the most.
If the game is going to be based more on skill in pvp, let it actually be skill, not rng. I would like my shots to count.
Edit: I understand that there isn't actually a lot of skill involved in destiny because of the teamshotting, however, as they tried to make it more skill based. Key word tried. They should get rid of bloom.
Edit 2: at first I didn't notice bloom either, but today it's like a switch got flipped, half the shots are totally random now. You might not be affected yet, but I don't think you want to have the uncertainty of it possibly happening.
Edit: this will most likely be the last edit. I was partly wrong in saying hat there isn't any skill in destiny, more like there isn't skill in certain arenas of destiny. But that is a different topic al together.
For the guy saying, you joined destiny in march 2016. Your right. I never saw hand cannons have perfect accuracy, I never got two tapped by thorn. But saying that because I wasn't there when they first got nerfed means nothing. Just because I wasn't there doesn't mean that I can't notice inaccuracy. I see it just as much as you do, regardless of when you joined.

As I read this it pisses me off how this was never addressed. Hand cannons still suffer from way too much bloom to this day.

Edited by ICanDodgeABullet: 7/29/2017 3:17:14 PMI feel you man. D1 ive been messing with since Feb this year. Almost 11k handkills with 41% headshots in that time and its pretty much my main tool for kills. Playing D2 was interesting. The sun gun felt the crispiest but felt like did the worst damage sometimes taking 5 or 6 trigger pulls to land a kill. Better devils just never felt right to me but the minuet, that minuet was righteous. one thing that is incredibly weird to me is the range of guns in these destiny games. Auto rifles which are close your eyes spray and pray guns have Scout rifle range with pulse rifle impact it felt like. So the fact you can easily cross map kill with those but theres such a need for handcannons to not have that sort of range seems very slanted. autos, scouts, and pulses could all be used from the C tree to the A wall but the hc was only good half that distance. Definitely going to be changing guns in D2 thats for sure

5 RepliesIt's perfect. Not seeing everyone run an OP HC is refreshing
-
Its not just the HC. Seems like Aim Assist is almost completely gone. You need to really hit your shots cause missing now is painful.
-
1 ReplyYou're honestly just trash the only reason I missed any hand cannon shots in the beta was because I knew my aim was off.
-
1 ReplyI had never heard "team shotting" until a few months ago. Prior to that it was called teamwork.
-
You know, I thought maybe I was just missing shots or that I was lagging. Completely forgot about this "bloom" thing.. I agree they should significantly reduce or remove it altogether

1 ReplyEdited by Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 7/28/2017 6:08:17 PMWhat impresses me about your post is that even without having past experience of D1 you have the insight to what makes a better game and you're completely on the right track. With other people its a regurgitated argument because some other guy said it and that other guy also said it. But you reached your conclusion organically and that there is quite impressive. H/C's are significantly sidelined by the extra rounds needed to kill, the increase and existance of bloom, it hurts range play which was intentional but it also hurts standard play, each shot needs to be perfect just to compete at the lowest level in comparison with lets say an autorifle spray that produces the same result in around the same period with much less effort. People are always arguing for balance, yet they can't identify and produce a argument for something to be in need of balancing on their own, unless there's 100 upvotes in the post, thats whats wrong with 'balance discussions' in general. Its nice to see a post that works on its own merits every now and then.

3 RepliesSkill? Destiny 2 is known as Teamshot 2. There's no skill when you get outgunned.
-
2 RepliesBloom is completely retarded, you would have thought they learned their lesson with Reach

2 RepliesThe kinetic hand cannon, Better Devils, with explosive rounds in D2 was very inaccurate, I think due to that perk. The other one in the energy slot, that I forgot the name of, was very accurate in my opinion.

1 ReplyI agree with you buddy. But I don't think it's just bloom on Hand canons that is the whole problem. I've shot people with AR's point blank and seen the speckledy bits of light as the bullets have hit but no damage is done. Hit registration seems to be off in D2. I also agree about the skill gap being lessened. Ok it's slightly harder to keep your reticle over a target for longer but the other side to that is if you miss a shot, time wise you aren't punished as much. In D1 HC's killed in 3 shots if you missed a shot and had to take a 4th the time to kill increased by 50% In D2 HC's kill in 4 shots if you miss and have to take a 5th the time to kill increases by 33.3% Which do you think is the most forgiving?

1 ReplyEverything in Destiny is RNG. Nobody ever wins based on skill. Hell my character reloads when the magazine is full.
I understand that there isn't actually a lot of skill involved in destiny because of the teamshotting
Direct implication is some gamers will never recognize being a teamplayer as a "skill" in a videogame. In essence, if the running back has blockers, he was a scrub. Pro players just dip, dodge, duck, dive the entire opposing team to the end-zone.

1 ReplyYou missed. Get over it.

7 RepliesI haven't noticed bloom a single time and I have like 6+ hours with a Hand Cannon, you just suck m8
-
Good.
-
1 ReplyPlay Destiny 1 and understand why handcannons were slammed.
-
2 RepliesYou shouldnt fire from long ranges. Hand cannons are close quarters stuff, and in close to mid range i didnt feel anything on them. Thats why you get 2 primaries.
-
2 RepliesEdited by pass_tha_adobo: 7/26/2017 11:13:01 PMIs op talking destiny 2 or regular destiny ?? Because in destiny 2 it feels more like 6 or 7 shots with a hc to get a kills.
-
Sounds as though you will like the hand cannons that have the perk that increases accuracy and stability for the initial shots.

Edited by ClovenTrack620: 7/26/2017 10:44:40 PMbungie is smart, they"ve noticed bloom is the best nerf to handcannons. Reducing range, magazine size or any other stat will only infuriate the community, so they give you a good looking handcannon with beautiful perks and awesome stat values and a bit of bloom which u won't notice till u start going negative cause u cant hit shhit. Then they'll act as if it wasnt intentional and proceed to kind of fix it 6 or 7 months down the line. classic bungie
