Wouldn't it be sweet if fusion rifles worked more like the Plasma Pistols in Halo? You could hold the charge until you round the corner and then release the trigger to fire on your opponent.

Yeah it would be nice to be able to save the shot before a fight but it shouldn't be indefinitely as it would be like having a shotgun with insane range
