I was playing the beta last night and my fireteam and I jumped into a quickplay control match and then this happened....

Started a new topic: Bungie, 6-8 Player Strikes would be awesome.(24 Replies))
-
8 man strike. No revives. No respawns.
-
83 RepliesCan you imagine how sick it would be if random strikes would suddenly have a notification that said something like "[boss name] has become more powerful than we thought possible; reinforcements have been called in" and then other random guardians would be pulled into your strike?
-
Signed. Bungie was always a fan of making memories that their fans would talk about for months or years to come. If these instances was an accident, they should learn from this accident and embrace it to high heaven!
-
Edited by Cayde: 7/25/2017 2:30:31 PMI'd never thought I'd be saying this, but DO NOT fix this bug, Bungie. This is probably one of the greatest things I've seen in Destiny's history. If eight Guardians are too much for a standard strike...amp the strike up! OP should totally submit this for MotW, by the way.
-
5 RepliesPetition to make this a real game mode
-
The 8 man strike is, to me, the perfect amount of people for the inverted spire's boss fight.
-
It's a fact now: It could've been possible but they just don't want more players. Man, this game could be so goddamn awesome that it's infuriating how they're actually not using the possibilities.
-
Destiny forums have to be the best gaming forums going lol... I'm not even mad about this glitch? I hope it's possible to have 8 man LOL
-
I got loads into a 6 man control match sadly it black screened until I launched again
-
Hahahaha, that's awesome. On a side note, I've been saying for a while that crucible matches should have a chance of turning into a mini horde mode. It'd fit into the lore, and be loads of fun.

Edited by MexicanSunnyD: 7/26/2017 5:17:24 AMThere better be a 26 man defense of the farm event at some point. Shankpocalypse. Thrallmageddon. Something something warbeasts. Yeah.
-
1 ReplyThis needs to be a real thing. Like when you got lucky in Archons Forge and there were 6+ people. A fun, low pressure activity with lots of people in.
-
38 RepliesWait until you see the 1000 man Strike With 1000's of Guardians walking away from D2 until Bungle remembers why they made this game in the first place, and sorts out the PvE content!
-
Make this MOTW
-
6 RepliesMore people is more fun. not less bungie. Listen to your player base !!!!!
-
Edited by Doc: 7/25/2017 9:46:00 PMI love it.
we need more of this.
-
That looked fun
-
Cool, put those 8 together it will equal...One....full....super
-
See bungie, this is the kind of thing that is FUN!
-
5 RepliesThing is the boss had no idea how to handle that situation. Now if they adjusted strikes to 6 man versions (adding more yellow bar mobs and mini-boss enemies to fights, updating the Boss fight to increase the challenge, add in modifiers that make enemies more dangerous) while keeping the base mission of the strike then yea this would be great. They could call them Siege Strikes, put them on their own playlist maybe. It is a fun idea for the future as we will not be seeing anything like this anytime soon
-
That's hilarious!
-
3 RepliesWhat if we had to fight giant mobs of hive earth spawn (Omnigul is still alive, right?) Omnigul could be spawning hundreds of thrall and dozens of ogres, knights, etc and we have to cut our way through in the most intense fight ever to kill her and temporarily stop her onslaught! Her immortality could make the activity replayable lore-wise and it could finally be the zombies-esque game mode we've been hoping for.
-
so thats why the boss was a bullet sponge, encounter was designed for 8 guardians xD
-
1 ReplyI had this happen in the 1st story mission. Didn't think of anything at first. Was just starting fighting then noticed what looked like 3 more guardians fighting alongside me. Strange indeed.
