That's the whole point with a new weapon, learning how to use it. Sure, I've struggled with it but it was useful in parts of the strike, especially when taking on hoards of those Cabal dog-like things and beating the adds in the boss fight. And I went on an absolute tear with it in PvP which was more luck than skill but it does show that once one gets the hang of it, it might be useful. Also, you've used only one version of this weapon. There will be others with different stats and perks. I've been disappointed with the scout rifle that's loaded with the hunter. I've been a a D1 scout rifle lover but I've really hate this one. I also know that there will be many other scout rifle choices once the game launches that I will like and use. It's just one version of a new weapons type so just because it's a bit of a mystery to use does not mean that all grenade launchers will suck.
