So basically d2 is..
It's a huge blanket nerf to every single aspect of d1. Movement,guns, abilities, health, etc....

*edit 2: also lets not forget that there is ZERO customization In regards to weapons, armor loadout/tiers. It could be just the beta but there is definitely no customization within each subclass.

The actual game may have that, and also: [b] ~~its a BETA~~[/b] They don't know what the community wants regarding the gunskill : ability usage ratio, hence they go for feedback in the beta, and make improvements on that.

41 RepliesHad 22 kills in competitive. Got my super 1 time. Switching back and forth between 2 primaries ok... only 1 player picks up "heavy" from the kiosk. Supers feel like heavy from trials, once a match. Didn't know there was ledge grabbing. Supers last for what 5 seconds. Shoulder charge doesn't kill a guardian in one hit. Sticky grenade doesn't kill a guardian if you stick them. I feel like they took every way a guardian can be killed and removed it from the game. Well, they wanted more primary use. They got it. What a boring game.

1 ReplyThey took the fun factor out of destiny to make a halo clone. And Halo stopped being fun after 3. I'm a game like destiny that has so many movement based options, you can't have a slow TTK. It just will not work. Hopefully bungie has learned that from the negative response to the beta. Maybe it will change come release. But I very seriously doubt it.

Destiny 1 started out everything was very powerful like Suros/Red Death/ Thorn/Shotgun/Sniper and Gjallarhorn but ended up in the end with most fun stuff having to be nerfed to be more balanced. Destiny 2 will start out with everything nerfed or in a weakened state and the player and weapons will slowly be buffed up until at the second or third Destiny 2 expansion or even the end of Destiny 2 lifecycle at which point we will feel a lot more powerful. That is my take on how they are doing it, but I might be wrong here. But I do find the Beta of Destiny 2 very boring and Countdown is the only fun thing in it so far Even the strike that seemed fun first time I don't even want to play it twice. The first mission was kind of boring because we already saw it so many times. They should have let us play a mission from middle of the game. Now when we do get the game and have to play through first mission again, it will be even more boring. Just my opinion, don't get mad at me.

Lots of customization just not attainable in the beta, you can see how every piece of equipment has slots for shaders and power Infusions, weapon mods, stats, perks etc

Is it a nerf though? People keep saying movement,, but IMO the changes were made so builds had sacrifice. building a mobility build makes speed roughly the same as D1. That isn't a nerf, and IMO it is. animprovement. The weapons aren't nerfed, they have changed. Having more power ammo drop means we can break up the primary gunplay far more often. Which will make this new weapon slot system better. Supers seem weak though and need a buff. I don't mind the more static subclass perks either. Not sure what you mean by armor loadout/tiers?

Im not so bothered about the supers and abilities, they just need tweaking. The gunplay is disappointing though. High ttk meaning you need to teamshot and people can still run away. Seriously there were times when I thought oh im being shot, get hit again, yep im definately being shot, time to run. The gunplay just feels off completely. D1 feels a lot sharper, d2 feels fuzzy, I dont know if this is hit detection or maybe we didnt get good guns to use in the beta. Weapon slots: is a sniper/shotty now only a power weapon? If so we will hardly ever get a chance to use them in pvp, thanks. The new radar is ugghh, and pvp games are way too short. I really struggle to find any positives. As someone who loves d1, I am 50/50 on getting d2 right now. Please fix these issues.

You want to see a good pre order trailer with a good story that's guaranteed to be fun and live up to its standards of fun gameplay. Check out the new uncharted the story looks amazing and the graphics are great. The gameplay will be fun too

36 RepliesYear 1 - fun, fast, unbalanced but only if you didn't play the meta, competitive (primaries are great and special is as well) Year 2 - fun, medium paced, balanced, competitive with lots of tourneys (primaries are good and special is balanced) Year 3 - ehh, medium paced, unbalanced and very special reliant with the nerfs, not competitive at all (primaries are trash other than hand cannons and special is ok but harder to get) Year 4/Destiny 2 - boring, slow paced, unbalanced, power ammo is extremely overpowered and supers are a joke (primaries are very weak and abilities are as well) So basically each year of destiny bungie nerfed more and more as we many of us asked for the opposite. Now 3-4 years later with destiny 2 we have a extreme nerf on everything, which makes the game completely different and stale. Honestly bungie... WTF?!
