Because practicality and touching your head are a thing of the past the in future, armor design have taken a turn. But I say no more, if I have a itchy head, I want to deal with it myself! I say Im sick of getting caught on every door frame!
I taken the liberty to fix my biggest issue with the titan armor, the impracticality and MASSIVE size of the shoulders. Sadly, it appears on all three sets of titan armor I have seen. I truly hope this is tweaked, or there are at least normal sized options. Hopefully.
Cheers!

Make the the shoulders a liitle bigger so that they look symmetrical to the chestpiece.

Edited by Happy Jack: 7/22/2017 6:39:39 PMI also fixed the female Titan armor. linky

11 RepliesEdited by TheSilentTiger: 7/20/2017 7:57:51 AMOkay then make a visor for the helmet so he can see out of it. You're logic is stupid and unnecessary when we are talking about a video game character...

This always made me laugh with Thangomizers. Do a dance, stick yourself in the neck.

Maybe if that shoulder vent wasn't there

15 RepliesEdited by True_Reclaimer: 7/20/2017 8:39:14 PMCan we have 1 large shoulder? Like Emile from Halo Reach EDIT - Added pic of what I mean

I like big pauldrons though. Favorite D1 gauntlets is the witness/kellbreaker because of the shoulders (and hand wraps). Also to me with the smaller shoulders makes the chest look huge and the waist too. It's all proportional by default making one thing smaller throws off the balance of it all.
-
I might be in a minor group but I like both equally. Couldn't decided which one is better. So both, it is.
-
I have to agree 100%. Your modification looks appropriate and aesthetically-pleasing. It's very easy to identify a titan from far away, regardless of shoulder size.
-
I think its a gameplay thing. Being able to recognize the shape of a titan from a distance gives you a tactical opportunity, same for recognizing a hunter or warlock. I do agree though, the shoulders look ridiculous.

Could anyone share a screenshot of a female Titian in full crucible armor? I'd like to make some tweaks to that as well, it looks a bit better than the male, but no abdomen coverage and shoulders still a bit on the big side. If you could take the screenshot on the character select screen, it should be easier for me. Thanks.

It's a Titan ... your supposed to be fat.
-
That actually looks really good!
-
I HATE big shoulder armour. You actually made it look good. Bravo
-
I loathe big shoulder armor or shoulder armor that's different on both sides. They both look horrendous and I have no idea why Bungie thinks it looks good.
-
8 RepliesYou guys wanna know a big problem exclusively with the Titan armor structure? The chestpiece covers your chest, but leaves your abdomen completely exposed, making Titans look like tiny men wearing big armor. The gauntlets cover your shoulders and forearms, but leave your bicep and tricep area completely exposed. It makes us look like fox NHL robots.
-
I also wish that Bungie made the basic physique of each class different. If Hunters have the least amount of resilience, also give them the smallest hitbox. Warlocks on the 50/50 size, and Titans having the most resilience, give us the biggest hitbox. Make us look taller than the other classes, because frankly the only good looking male Titan in the game right now is Lord shaxx. Lord Saladin doesn't count because he has a cape, and I don't think we'll ever get those :(
-
No...it looks awful with smaller shoulders, Titans are supposed to be big and imposing, it makes us stand out, Hunters have cloaks and Warlocks have robes so now Titans have big shoulders I think it balances out nicely.
-
7 RepliesThere's nothing wrong with it, titans are supposed to be bulky and tanky.. Just the way it's meant to be

Smaller size shoulders = less shoulder charge damage (aka: not a one hit kill) Everything checks out in this beta. 👍

I've always hated how bulky the titans looked in Destiny 1. I always picked a female when I made a titan (i don't play titan often anyways so not a big deal). But I found the male titans just seemed far too large. I'm not sure if it was the Armour or what, but I always wondered how they even managed to move they looked so stiff and bulky! That D2 titan looks a bit more tame, and the smaller shoulders normalize it a lot more in that image, it's a much better look. This isn't WoW Bungie, we don't need torso sized shoulders!
-
Looks better. Can you also make Warlock Helmets where guardians can see through?

Edited by deljhpFOREVER: 7/21/2017 9:56:58 AMEither option works, what needs fixing is it being pre set as bright WHITE. Might as well paint a target on your chest for PVP. Thankfully shaders will fix all that in the full game.
-
Nope. The larger shoulder pads are made to further distinguish the Titans from the other classes, namely Hunters. I dont think it's too bad.
-
4 RepliesGreat 👌 That's why I use female characters, they don't look funny. I'm supposed to kill the dudes with guns..... not my -blam!-ed up appearance.

Edited by ZeroEmerald: 7/21/2017 10:36:34 AMI like what you did to that set. As much as I liked the big shoulder pads on Titan armour in Destiny 1, some of the D2 stuff in the beta just looks silly. The vanguard armour with the square boxes look stupid.
