Maybe. I'm not banking on intelligent life out there, but microorganisms? Sure.

Here's my thought. We may have already missed signs simply due to anthropocentrism. We want our "extraterrestrial life" to be like us. Same planetary conditions, same basic organic structure, etc. What if, say, a planet like Venus gave rise to a silicon-based life that was much closer to living boulders than anything else? Or a planet like Saturn/Jupiter has given life to aeronautical creatures?

Possibly. Doesn't really change my belief. And it's all going to be opinion until alien life is discovered or every celestial body is investigated.
-
Why not? We might actually encounter self replicating robots created by ancient aliens billions of years ago.
The chance that there would be intelligent life on Earth, in the first place, was so incredibly unlikely. Some scientist believe that the chances of life, existing at all outside of Earth, is impossible..
I mean, everyone's weighing the possibilities because of the unknown but refuse to weigh the impossibilities.
-
I weight both. I think we could also be the forerunners. Aliens might be direct descendants of humanity millions of years from now. Many possibilities
-
Many impossibilities.

Well then you have your reasons and so so I. Neither is fact. Just keep that in mind.
