Why the Removal of OHK Will Benefit PvP

Close your eyes and picture the scene. Trials of Osiris. Game point, and it's all tied up. You are playing a streamer, he's carrying two noobs. You guys have been winning so far, you beat one of the noobs, but here comes the streamer with his two stickies killing your teammates, and then finishes you off using wormwood and melee. How is this even close to being fair? The others did nothing to help win, and some guy is making money off of people who pay for carries because he is exploiting the game. No teamwork was required, just sticky grenades, sidearms, and self rez. Now that they take away all of the OHK, you won't have this anymore. Yes people will still find away to carry... Yes people will still figure out ways to cheat. But if your team can work together and operate effectively as a team, then you have chance. What do you guys think? Will this be a game changer in crucible? Or is solo skill still being favored in PvP? Edit: This guy says it best... "You win 3 1v1's not 1 1v3"... The 1v3's are what I want to be a thing of the past. Have teamwork the basis for your gameplay instead of ridiculous OHK and individual carries.

    Trials baby, 4 - 4 all tied up and its down to 1v1. You versus streamer. Hail marry toss that sticky and BOOYAH you stick Mr. Tryhard! ....wait...what...no OHK and now he's easily out gunned you and you lose!!!!!!! [spoiler]Rage = broken controller[/spoiler] Streamers/full time gamers will still be good. Casuals wont have easy "I win" abilities and will struggle.

    • Removal of OHK from all but power weapons and supers (unless up against another super) can only be good for the game. Also with all modes being 4v4 streamers will have to run in pairs at least to stand a chance carrying. The other thing to bear in mind is that full time streamers are generally better at the game than your average guardian as they play all day most days. People like kraftyy will literally spend hours in the crucible grinding out matches and will destroy most of the competition because he is seriously good regardless of the meta. This will be the same for Lumi, TripleWREAK, Gigz, LaB, TrueVanguard, etc because their life is playing this game and removal of OHKs will not change that.

        • So. The skill gap is being reduced. That's not good at all. (And don't try to tell me that it isn't being reduced in the situation you described)
