I am withholding judgement for the beta, but I am concerned that the Hunter has no support abilities.
The Titan has a wall that all teammates can benefit from and the Warlock the healing/damage-buff pools. But the Hunter has only the dodge, which benefits himself only.
In D1 Bladedancers could go invisible and perform revives, that would otherwise be impossible, and Nightstalkers seem to be all about support. But these have gone away.
In D1 Striker Titans were often left behind in the raids and nightfalls, due to their close quarters super and no support ability. I fear this will be true for the ArcStrider.
The hunter needs some form of support ability. Whether that is a different support perk on each subclass or some team buff when dodging, it needs to be hunter-wide.
Please review this before the final release of D2. And thank you for your consideration of this post.

Why would a dps role have support abilities? I swear people just want all of the classes to be the same. And btw it does. The super generates orbs on hit rather than on kill and chain of woe now effects your whole team. But, a hunter's power truly lies in its dps capability and now GG can precision shot and those precision shots give the next GG shot more damage.

2 RepliesIdk I think titans are the tank class, warlocks are healing class and hunters are the damage class
-
2 RepliesHunters have always been the weakest when it comes to supers. Almost like they got the left over ideas.

Forgot Goldie gun has 6 shots and does extra crit damage too.

When people are concerned by the fact that the lone wolf character doesn't have team support abilities

The only possible support ability that I've seen is Chain of Woe. Now I may be wrong about the origin of this perk but in some of the clips a Warlock, then a Titan, were granted this ability by proxy to a Hunter. I'm certain that Hunters will have some measure of support in one way or another.

25 RepliesPoledancer won't be left behind out of raids because it doesn't have a support ability. It'll be left out because Bladedancer was always utterly useless in pve and poledancer is just a reskinned version. It'll be even more useless seeing as the first raid is cabal.

Edited by FlashSpeedX1: 7/13/2017 1:54:09 PMWhen I play D2 as Titan and Warlock, I'll specifically say "No Hunters" in my raid posts. 3 Warlocks, they have rift and dps and 3 Titans, they have great overall versatility. Hunters are overall useless now. It's just the way it is.

Seems like arcstrider may be the new stormcaller though. It looks like it had pretty good ad clearing ability with its AOE on every hit.

2 RepliesI'll be 100% honest If the Hunter didn't get a 3rd subclass the first raid completion will consist of 3 Locks and 3 Titan 3. -Warlocks will have health and dmg rifts -Titans have big and small walls -Small walls allows instant reload -bubble (even without buffs it's strong) If there is no real buffs with the Hunter the elitist LFG groups in turn will require "no hunters" because let's be honest chain of woe is not that required because in an FPS game aiming is a core skill.

Night stalker

Hunter support has pretty much been Mob control, dps, or invis for resing downed teammates.

PVE sally detected.

It is a little concerning to me to be honest but it all depends on how things work in destiny 2. Also we got through raids with warlock holding their super in Destiny. At least shadestep can refill your ammo gives you an extra couple of seconds of dps.

2 RepliesDude...calm down. The game isn't even out yet, and you're complaining already.

14 RepliesEdited by Felicity_Faye: 7/11/2017 8:21:14 AMGolden Gun has a perk that generates Orbs of Light whenever you hit a precision shot, that's 6 Orbs if you shoot a boss with a precision hit spot. Also, Chain of Woe is now party wide.
Honestly, did you watch any of the hundred Destiny 2 Hunter videos already out there?
