Don't have a lot of other network traffic happening at the same time, like streaming HD movies or shows. Don't use a VPN for gaming unless you are extremely sure about your ability to micromanage how it is set up, and even then you are going to likely bleed some speed off. At your speed disparity, you aren't on a real fiber setup the whole way from your wall to your ISP, so with as high as they have that signal boosted for downstream speed there is likely a good deal of jitter or even poor latency rates. I suggest looking through the tools available on dslreports.com and running a few, and not just when nothing else is running, use them while doing your normal internet usage like playing destiny. Most likely after a while your speed ramps down drastically, remember, the quoted speeds you pay for are the high end, best possible scenario, that is not what you are guaranteed to get at all times.

I leech Tim Horton's (breakfast kind of restaurant in Canada) and have a 1.1up/0.6down. I even made a psn account named 'Do my LAG frustrate you'. Its great. I enjoy receiving very powerful massages related to lag.

Your speed really doesn't have anything to do with the game otherwise you would have a clear advantage over others in some cases. It's more to do with all the connections to and from Sony, Bungie and all the servers in between. Get a friend on a slower connection and you and him download the same file at the same time. Chances are that you will both finish at about the same time regardless of the speed of your connection. Remember, in a game, no one is supposed to have a speed advantage. Its suppose to be spread out somewhat evenly among all players. So if your playing at 50mb and someone else is on 10 and someone else is on 5? The network will throttle to try and make the game playable. Otherwise, like I said earlier. the person with the highest speed would have the advantage. Besides, Don't go by Destiny's speed bar. I have friends on fiber that red bar all the time and all they have connected is the PS4
