Most of the "hate" topics or posts are actual criticism, and because it is counter to your or other's optimistic outlook on D2, you classify it as hate. The fact that the forums are divided, for the most part, one extreme or another, with people who are either very critical and are not very optimistic about what they are seeing, and those that have to defend it, is not very good. Most of the people that I have seen defending D2 content so far are basing it off of the fact that they loved D1 so much. I have grown more and more sick of the lazy re-skinned content given to us for D1 over the last 1.5 years and highly expected fundamental game changes, not just new content. There is a need for constructive criticism, and that's not hate. I don't want any more re-skins, I don't see a need for new subclasses, I don't see a need for completely revamping the weapon system (PVE?), I don't see how universal weapon perks will improve the game. Bungie has not given us direct explanations as to how these are fundamental improvements. Just like you said, these are ingredients, and they may be good or bad, but right now all we have is a game that looks like more of the same ol Destiny with unnecessary changes that may or may not pan out. Show me needed changes that people have actually asked for on these forums, like mappable items and weapons to the d-pad, a confirmed larger vault or some way to store, sort and organize lots or stuff we collect, a deeper character customization for variety, open world and not just the promise of "larger patrol", larger fire teams like 6 man patrols and missions, I could go on and on. This is why there is criticism, it looks like Destiny 1 with unneeded change, not needed improvements. Simple.

  • First: "This is why there is criticism, it looks like Destiny 1 with unneeded change, not needed improvements. Simple."=====this is your opinion. Second, I never said that we didn't need constructive criticism. I distinctly, with clear accuracy chose the word HATE because my post was directed at the folks that are hating without any empirical data to support their hate. Furthermore, there are two types of criticism. Contructive, and of course, deconstructive. Saying: " D2 is dog turds cause 4v4, etc etc" is not constructive. Being constructive means : con·struc·tive /kənˈstrəktiv/ adjective adjective: constructive 1. serving a useful purpose; tending to build up. "constructive criticism" Notice the part about building up??? Yeah, I don't see too many posts that are criticizing D2 negatively and trying to build it up to be better. Majority of it is pure hate. Again though, I was not making this post about folks posting ACTUAL constructive criticism. But those posting Deconstructive criticism in a hateful manner.

  • This is not just my opinion. This is many opinions. Also, the first part of the definition, notice the part about serving a useful purpose. That's feedback, the very name of a forum tab Bungie put in these forums. You don't have to build it up to serve a purpose or be constructive. If you aren't liking what you are seeing, that's direct and honest feedback. We aren't on here as coworkers, building each other up with constructive criticism "too bad Joe, maybe try it this way next time, I like what you did with those TPS reports though". Screw that I'm going to tell Bungie I don't approve of what they have done in 3 years with the money I have been dumping into this "10 year plan". That's how it works in a business. You pat your teammates on the back, you tell a business what their product is like. Bungie doesn't think of you as a teammate, you are just a consumer, nothing else.

  • And another reminder for you: I made this post about folks who already hate D2 for whatever reason. I did not make this post about folks posting Constructive Criticism. So, we can argue all day about interpretations of the phrase, but it doesn't change the definition of Constructive Criticism. The definition is the constant. The interpretation of the phrase is subjective (same as opinions). And we can argue our opinions all day. But nothing good has ever come from people blindly complaining, and whining IMO This is my opinion. If you don't agree that's fine, but, kindly just move along, because its obvious that your opinion differs. We can agree to disagree.

  • "serving a useful purpose." What useful purpose does a phrase like "D2 is dog turds" serve?

  • You lack an understanding then of the words you use. And just because a lot of folks have the same opinion, it doesn't mean the opinion is a fact. For many, these changes are more than welcome. Again, not trying to be rude.... But Constructive Criticism does not mean blindly spewing concerns with no suggestions to make the concerns better. The definition of a phrase doesn't change to fit your narrative.

  • Right..I know what fan boy means. I did clearly suggest ways to make concerns better. I listed a slew of changes the community asked for. For many these changes are not welcome. See I can just take what you write and reverse it..you just don't like it that people aren't blindly open to welcoming D2 with open arms as-is. I don't care if you are excited about what you are seeing but asking people not to come in here and criticize what they are seeing is ridiculous.

  • 1. Fan boy is a made up definition given by the salty Destiny players. 2. "I listed a slew of changes the community asked for." You do not speak for the community. Also, you act as if I personally attacked you. Bro, how dense are you? My post is for the blind hate. Not the criticism. You literally are upset and attacking my for no reason whatsoever. Typical. 3."I don't care if you are excited about what you are seeing but asking people not to come in here and criticize what they are seeing is ridiculous." Again, see point number 2.
