But, to those of you who haven't played it yet.... (majority of you) I ask you this..... You cant read the ingredients to a meal and know what it tastes like until you try the meal, now can you?
If you know you don't like the taste of a certain ingredient you can reasonable conclude that a meal with that ingredient more often than not isn't going to be something that you're going to enjoy. The more ingredients in said meal that you don't like the more likely you are to dislike that meal.

 • What if you only knew 5% of what was in something, would you reserve judgment until you have seen the other 95%? Because so far, we have only seen 5% of D2. We cant possibly know what the remaining 95% will look like. More importantly, for a game, FEEL is everything. If you haven't played d2, then you don't know how it will feel, now can you?

 • You reserve judgement based on what you've been shown, not a hypothetical of what you hope to see. IMO too many people bought Destiny 1 based on hope instead of what they were shown and as a result many were disappointed in the game, as a result people are far less willing to give Destiny 2 the benefit of the doubt. The problem with people like you is that you never make this argument of we need to see more before getting our hopes up for a game its only when people are critical of the game where you take this stance. If there is enough information available for someone to be "hype" for Destiny 2 then by the same logic there is enough information available for someone to be dissappointed in the game. In food terms if I see you trying to put onions in a chocolate cake I don't have to wait until you finish baking the cake to question your thought process. If Destiny 2 is viewed in a negative light its up to the developers to show us something worth being excited about, not hoping the community continues to give them the benefit of the doubt. So far what's been shown just hasn't lived up to what was expected. TL;DR If you aren't telling people not to be excited/ optimistic about Destiny 2 based on what has been shown so far then its hypocritical of you to tell those that aren't impressed they have to wait before they are allowed to have a negative opinion of the game.

 • I am telling people to be optimistic though, that's what my entire post is about. So no, I am no hypocrite, I have done nothing but try and keep people excited and optimistic. "If Destiny 2 is viewed in a negative light its up to the developers to show us something worth being excited about, not hoping the community continues to give them the benefit of the doubt." ^^^ except that it is the minority of players that are viewing it negatively. And prematurely at that.

 • Maybe I mistyped it but I'm saying you're logic of wait and see should apply to both sides but people like you only want to apply it when people are critical of Destiny 2. All the complaints are based on what Bungie has shown so far, nothing about that is premature.
