The D2 hate is getting real....
But, to those of you who haven't played it yet.... (majority of you) I ask you this.....
You cannot read the ingredients to a meal and know what it tastes like until you try the meal, now can you?
Edit: I have seen a lot of these answers: "If one of the ingredients is a turd, I know it will taste bad" BUT, in what world is a turd ever considered an ingredient? Not sure where you guys are from, but, no meal, in the history of ever, has ever included turd on the menu. Plus, nothing a little sweet baby ray's bbq sauce cant fix! lol
Also, this post: " If you mix nasty ingredient A, with disgusting ingredient B, you know that will probably taste bad" That's a fair point, but what if you had never had any of the ingredients? How the heck would you know if it tastes good or bad? That's ultimately what I was stating. We aren't talking about ingredients you HAVE had, we are talking about ingredients you have NEVER had.

Final edit: Let me elaborate on the subject: Since we have seen about 5-10% of D2, what if you only knew 5-10% of the ingredients, do you think you know what the finish product will taste like only knowing a fraction of the ingredients? The answer is no. No way you could possibly KNOW. Have a hunch sure, but no way you can know!
Either way, I have seen very few posts that resort to name calling childish accusations. So, thank you all for being a civil as you have been!

3 RepliesNo you can't. But if you know how to cook, you know certain changes to a recipe are going to cause problems. For example if you try to bake a cake without yeast, you're going to have a hard time getting that cake to rise. If there's no sugar, any chocolate will taste bitter, etc. Trying have a loot-based RPG without an RNG loot system is like trying to bake a chocolate cake without yeast and sugar. It may turn out okay. But odds are you're going to wind up with something that looks bad and tastes worse.

Edited by TheLastRib: 7/3/2017 1:38:07 AMim more annoyed about all weapons being pre rolled. what if there is an auto rifle or something i like but the perks don't suit my play style? then i have to go find another weapon that has the perks im looking for. but then the weapon that has the perks is a different type like a high rate of fire but low impact autorifle. but it has the right perks im looking for? im worried about how pre rolled weapons will effect the different archtypes of weapons.

8 RepliesEveryone bashes the grind for god rolls. Bungie removes random rolls for permanent ones. Everyone starts complaining and says the grind was the greatest. You people are awful. PvP wise Destiny 2 will rely more on your gun skill over abilities and OHK specials. So most of you probably don't use primaries. Which is fine, that just means you'll do awful in D2 and will probably leave. In case y'all have forgotten, the Crucible isn't the only part of the game. The PvE is looking incredible so far. Can't wait to play it.

I wont hate too much until I actually play the game, but its the same company, same basic guidelines and pray to whomever that they might have learned from their mistakes. Then again some say it sucks what they have done the last 3 years and some love it and the rest of us are 50/50??? For me its just as simple as, Its a video game if I dont like it, I wont play it...

2 RepliesPeople can hate on Destiny 2 or go absolute fanboy about it. It doesn't really matter to me. I am going to give the sequel a fair chance to impress me. That starts with the beta. Either way I don't buy many games nowadays so even if it is the exact same as Destiny I will still keep it.

You can definitely read the ingredients and be able to tell if you're not going to like something before you eat it. Unless you're not picky or allergic to anything, maybe. Other than that, you can get a pretty good guess. Aside from that, we've seen how bungie has handled Destiny for 3 years. I think we have a pretty good general idea how things might play out.

7 RepliesWell i hate tomatos and bitter mellon (if you dont know what it is, look it up). I wont like almost anything that has whole, diced, sliced, etc. tomatos as an ingredient. And I wont like anything cooked with bitter mellon will have the bitter taste permeate the meal so theres no way Id eat that. Your analogy a poor one man. The bottom line is a ton of ppl are upset (legitimately) because we asked for a pve-focused game and bungie instead remade the game oriented towards pvp/e-sports. Its like this: they can only have rwo of these three elements: power fantasy in pve, balance in pvp, and consistency between the two. Luke Smith already confirmed the two wont be separate so we know at that point bungie will have to choose pvp or pve, and the one not chosen will be consumed by the other, as has been the case the last 2 years. And Bungie has clearly chosen pvp. If you are a pve oriented player, this should worry you. If your a Pve player, this should be reason enough to not buy the game.
