"We better get outta here Anibus, looks like another fight is about to start!" Cayde-6 said to Anibus who had just fought with Tolliks. The cries of two Fallen houses rang through the starry night. "Why were you out here Cayde?" The Titan asked. "Getting that bounty you put up. You?" "I guess you could say I was trying to prevent you from getting it." They made their way to Cayde's ship and made their way inside. Anibus manned the guns in case of pursuit while Cayde piloted it. As the Guardians were about to make their way to the City, Anibus saw the Claws marching on the crashed Ketch of Los Diablos. Cayde landed in the Tower hangar and helped Anibus out of the ship. They were greeted by Amanda Holiday. "How was that test flight Cayde?" She inquired. "Great, I found someone while I was out there." "What happened to you Anibus?" "Long story Amanda. Cayde and I can tell you later." They left the hangar and went to Anibus' quarters. The Titan took off his helmet to reveal his face. He was exhausted from the fight. "You know you could have gotten yourself killed." Cayde said as Anibus opened a bottle of liquor. "Could say the same for you." "Yeah, well that was for 50,000 glimmer. See, I had reason for potentially getting killed." Anibus sat down on his bed and drank from the bottle. "How do you think Winter got the supplies for that attack?" Anibus questioned as he drank from the bottle. "Beats me. Rumors are the mob is funding them but I wouldn't be able to tell for sure. Why?" "Seems unlike them to make such an effort. I'm going to rest, thank you Cayde." As the Hunter left Anibus laid his head on the pillow and slept. The next morning he awoke to a kick and when he looked up it was Orion. Lyla stood behind him, smirking as she looked at the Titan. Orion's face was stern and solemn. "Your friend was taken back. Winter gained more ground." Orion said as Anibus put on his helmet. "Is there a mob that I haven't heard of Orion?" "They're called the Reef Mob. They've been laundering money through Winter and supplying them for awhile now." Orion answered. "Any informants we could get to?" "Only a few." Lyla said. "We would need to be careful, we don't want them coming after us. Our best bet is a man named Marcus. No last name though." "Where is he?" "European Dead Zone. We'll go with you." Lyla replied. The three flew to the EDZ and found the informants compound. Anibus would go inside after Orion and Lyla had taken out the guards. As they did Anibus barged inside, sidearm at the ready. "Marcus! Finally a man with what I need!" Anibus said as he shot the informant's three guards around him. Another rushed out from behind and Anibus shot him and the guard fell to the floor. Marcus tried to run but was shot in the leg. "Listen! I don't know who you are or what you want but just let me talk!" The man said as Anibus dragged him to a chair and tied his arms behind it. "Oh yes Marcus we're going to talk. I'm going to ask you who and where the supplier for the Claws is, and you're going to answer." Anibus said as he poured the man's liquor on him. "The supplier." Anibus asked as he found a newly made cigar that had been given to the informant by the mob. He lit it and held it next to him. "I don't know his name but he runs weapons through old Venezuela! I swear that's all I know!" "Thank you." "So... we're done here?" "Yes we're done." Anibus replied as he emptied the rest of the bottle on Marcus and put the cigar in his mouth as he lifted his head up. "It's people like you that truly disgust me. You kill and steal for something as fickle as money." Marcus looked at him in horror trying not to drop the cigar on himself. "Ah the suspense is killing me." Anibus shot Marcus in the chest and left the compound. He would find the supplier and make sure Winter wouldn't have its support. Thank you all for reading this chapter!
