ign can such my @ss. 343I gave NOTHING. IO1 is a fan made Halo game for pc that aims to recreate that Halo 2 - Halo 3 feeling. 343i, Bungie and even Microsoft have offered 0 help to this game (except 343i hosting a forum section on their site). now i dont hate 343 or anything but they did NOT create this game. that title is bs.

Nobody said they're helping make, or making the game at all. They're just saying that they acknowledged the project and said they really liked it, etc.

Nobody said they made the game, just that 343 are allowing the project to go through. Nowhere does it say, "343 Creates new Halo game titled Installation 01"

No. Your reading comprehension is poor. The title simply and clearly states that 343 Industries gives the game their blessing. It does not, in any way, imply that they had any part in its development or should be given any credit for doing so. The way it is written is the proper way to write it.

Well, they did create the game... They own the license to it. This is a project thats basically remastering it.

Copying their product. It's Halo. They could get shut down for infringement but 343 is letting them build it. 343 always has say-so over this game, not the other way around.

Dude what are you talking about, he's not claiming 343i made the game. He's saying 343i gave the devs their blessing. Meaning 343i won't shut the -blam!-ing game down, not that they're taking credit for making the game. Come on man, at least pay attention to what you're reading.

No you don't, I got the impression 343i are giving them their blessing to make the game. Which is great imo, they could have shut the project down.

Fair use is shaky at best and going by precedent means nothing here. It doesn't matter if you might call it fair use, when a cease-and-desist letter gets sent out people stop because some ordinary guy on the streets doesn't have the money to fight -blam!-ing Microsoft. If you copy something copyrighted in a way the owner worries might hurt its brand (either from taking potential customers' attention or associating something not up to their standard with their intellectual property) they generally send a letter that people absolutely don't have the money to fight. For years popular fan projects have been going that way, such as a Star Wars project which was forced to re-brand by a C&D notice. This is absolutely something good on the part of Microsoft as the franchise owners and 343i as the current developers of the series. Based on other responses I see, you seem to be the only one who didn't understand the title. Generally speaking, it's far more likely you're the crazy one than the last sane person on Earth. Work on your reading comprehension.

care to explain why you think i'm most likely the crazy one? you assumed that because i typed a few sentences on Bungie.net? and like i said 343i cant shut it down only Microsoft can which will most likely not happen since it's under fair use. and no i dont need to work on my reading comprehension because 1 mistake lol you aint my teacher or some shit
