Thoughts? I think it's pretty damn cool that the devs are standing up for the players.

1 ReplyWow if only half of gta 5 modding youtubers haven't confirmed this like days ago maybe it'd be somewhat useful

4 RepliesThey don't give a shit about the players. The fact that their steam review dropped heavily is what influenced this. They don't want this to affect profits.

14 RepliesEdited by Aldrich: 6/28/2017 6:35:27 PMTake 2 still tried. ...I don't trust it. Not one bit. I bet they're the next ones to try and monitize modding like Bethesda. "Take-Two has agreed that it generally will not take legal action against third-party projects involving Rockstar's PC games that are single-player, non-commercial, and respect the intellectual property (IP) rights of third parties" GENERALLY. "The whole reason OpenIV is so popular in the modding community is that it allows users to decrypt, read, and edit the game's proprietary file format." I feel like this is a weird spot to be in...

Off course here, the role play servers on gta are out there.

It was only a matter of time. Rockstar has always supported mods, so Take Two going ape shit like that just wasn't going to fly.

That's pretty cool.

It's good that Rockstar did this however I still don't have respect for them like I used to.
