As he started the engine exhaust burnt the grass behind the ship. Merrick readied Anibus' weapons for the battle ahead. He heard Orion trying to patch through to speak with Anibus. "Anibus, you can't fight this one alone! Wait until we get some backup!" "Orion, I'm not letting anyone else fight my war for me." "They already are Anibus! You started this war but you can't finish it relying solely on yourself!" "I'm not going to bring you into this. I'll kill him and end this." Anibus cut the transmission as he entered the jungle of TBDZ. Anibus readied his SUROS Regime and shotgun as he walked cautiously through the thick green foliage of the jungle. He peered through the brush and scouted the guards in front of the Ketch's entrance. Fighting through it would be suicide. However he had stolen one of Orion's smokes and threw it on the ground to evade the guards. Anibus saw a vandal sniffing the air, looking for that which his senses told him was there. It returned to its position as the Titan snuck into the hangar. "Merrick, make sure you are hidden. If they spot you, you'll be killed on sight." Anibus said when they were inside. "Just so you know, the Kell is interrogating him in the throne room. Also, Tolliks is known as 'The Red Butcher.' You think Karas was bad? This Kell lets Guardians' Ghosts resurrect them so he can continually kill them." Merrick warned. "Well, maybe we'll get a couple extra wins under our belt. Remember stay close but out of sight." Merrick did a Ghost's version of a nod and was gone. Anibus smashed the door controls behind him and fired his rifle at the Fallen now engaging him. He watched as one after another their heads burst into Ether. A stealth vandal tried to impale Anibus with his shock blades but soon found the swords stuck in its chest. Anibus reloaded and began firing once again. A captain rallied his troops for a push against the Mad Guardian. The vandals shot at him as the dregs pushed forward in suicidal action. The Titan equipped his custom shotgun and gunned down the dregs as they charged at him. He rushed forward toward the vandals and impaled them with the bayonet on his gun. The captain was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly it grabbed him and slammed him onto the floor. "Like the rest of your kind, weak and undisciplined." It said in the tongue of men. Anibus quickly rolled out of the way as it tried to crush his skull. He grabbed his knife and tackled it on the floor. Bludgeoning it mercilessly. When the captain lay on the metal floor dead, Anibus walked into the throne room. "Tell me, where are the Claws rallying?" Anibus heard the Red Butcher say to his prize, Karas. He pushed into the massive room and stared at the numerous Fallen surrounding their Kell. Tolliks turned around as he beckoned for his guards to take Karas away. "Well, a Guardian. I must say this is quite a surprise. You must be here for the Baron? I must inform you that he is... unavailable at the moment." Tolliks informed Anibus in fluent English. "You know I'll kill anyone that stands between me and that wretch? That includes you, Red Butcher." The Kell laughed as the Fallen readied their weapons to kill Anibus. They would die for their Kell, not out of fear but loyalty and love for their leader. Tolliks signaled them to stand down. "Back away, I will kill him myself." Tolliks said as he grabbed a staff from over his Throne. The staff was the length of a small tree. A blade with arc energy coursing within them protruded from the top and bottom. Anibus smirked beneath his helmet. "I'm glad to see that I'll have a challenge today." The Titan said with arrogance. "Much more than you think." The Red Butcher retorted. Anibus summoned his Hammer of Sol as the Kell charged his staff. The two charged at each other with fury and hatred. Anibus smacked the blade out of the way as he jumped over the Kell. However Tolliks knew the Guardians every move and kicked him into the wall as Anibus landed on the floor. The Titan grabbed his hammer once more and began throwing them at Tolliks. The Kell, though large in stature he was, evaded them. Out of light for the moment, Anibus switched to his new rifle. He ducked behind cover as he reloaded it. He heard the Fallen cheering in this arena-style fight. Anibus suddenly saw a blade of the staff break through the barrier between him and the Red Butcher. "Did you truly believe you could kill me? Thousands upon thousands have perished at my hand. What makes you any different?" Tolliks said in a prideful manner. Anibus ducked out of cover and began opening fire on his adversary. Tolliks was unfazed however, his shields stood firm against the volley of bullets. Out of ammo, Anibus put his AR on his back as he jumped in the air, attempting to land a blow on the Kell's skull with his fists. He was immediately slammed on the ground. The Arc energy coursed through his armor, shocking him as he lay at the feet of the mighty Fallen warrior. Armor smoking from the electricity, Anibus jumped out of the way of the Kell's blade. Anibus threw a grenade behind him and watched as the Kell stumbled from the explosion. He pulled out his Hammer of Sol and charged once again at his foe. Tolliks quickly recovered and sliced through Anibus' armor with his staff and kicked him against a window. "Like I said, you are no different." The Red Butcher said with a grimace under his mask. Anibus, though hurt, pulled out his shotgun and broke the window with the bayonet. Anibus jumped out of the massive Fallen Ketch and found himself lying in the jungle alone. "Merrick! Of course I..." "Looking for me?" Merrick said almost giving Anibus a heart attack. "Now, we need to head back to the Tower. But, the Fallen are jamming the comms and they've destroyed the ship. We're going to have a hard time getting out." Merrick informed his injured comrade. "Alright, we'll find a skiff when it lands. Come heal my wounds please. Bleeding out and having a bunch of broken bones isn't all that great ya know." After his injuries were taken care of, Anibus and Merrick made their way through the jungle when they suddenly heard movement. Anibus cocked his AR and kept his finger on the trigger. Anibus suddenly heard, "I swear if one of you Fallen sacks of Ether kill that Baron before I get the bounty, I'll... I'll... ok so I don't know what..." The Hunter Vanguard emerged from the brush wielding Ace of Spades. "Anibus? What the frick happened to you?"
