Dear Bungie,
In Destiny 2, could you please give us the option to disable and enable aim assist on our weapons?
Thank you.

19 RepliesThe problem is not aim assist, the problem is you, FPSs on consoles would be unplayable without aim assist. Instead of asking to change a fundemanral part of the game, why not instead, change the way that you play the game? Learn how aim assist works, and then learn how to exploit it. As was pointed out below, if you want to see what no aim assist feels like, go and shoot those drones in the plague lands. I have tried shooting them in the past it is very difficult.

Edited by ExaltedFalchion5: 6/26/2017 11:09:52 AMI just wanted first of all to say thank you to all you guys giving me feedback on my post so far, I'm very greatful. Secondly, I made this topic mostly because I've disabled aim assist across all of my FPS games because I dont want to rely so heavily on Aim Assist anymore. I want to train my aim and target tracking accuracy to be as best as it can be. Destiny is the first FPS game I've ever played in a semi-serious/competetive manner, I actually learned how to aim and pace my shots etc. On Destiny. The problem is that my accuracy even through it has tremendously improved, is still not as good I'd like it to be. So I want to get rid of the thing that's holding me back (Aim Assist) and realize my true potential. When Destiny 2 comes out I don't want it to stifle my progress because of weapons that use aim assist, so I'm hoping Bungie will heed our requests and give us the option to disable aim assist if we so choose.

Oh, you wanna try hitting something without aim assist? Try to hit those drones flying around in the plague lands 😉

I always disable it when there is an option in FPS games. I don't like the drag when firing into groups of enimies. It's very annoying in Crucible when your shooting at a sniper and then someone runs in between you and you miss the kill shot.
