I was thinking about the new subclasses and how they are all roaming supers now and was wondering how they would implement a roaming voidwalker, but then I had an idea. What if the new voidwalker is like a revamped version of the old sunsinger? When you would activate the super you would get "void armor" that would give you a regenerating overshield like the titan's regenerating barrier, and your grenade ability would be replaced with a 1 or 2 second cooldown blink and your melee would be replaced with a mid-range void needler ability that would work like Mass Effect Andromeda's flamethrower where the more you used it, the longer it would take to cool down. Now that shotguns are moved to the heavy slot, blink shotguning wouldn't be as big of a problem and this would make you a mid-range god. Then in maybe another subclass node or specialization you could hold down the super to fire a nova bomb like we saw in the gameplay reveal, giving the class a lot of versatility. Thoughts?

I just thought Make a GIANT -blam!-ING VORTEX that drains energy/health/shields from enemies and allow us to shoot small novas by charging them with the drained energy that fills a resource meter
-
How to improve a Voidwalker... 1. Go to the Options menu. 2. Deselect Voidwalker. Select Stormcaller. 3. Done and dusted. You're welcome.
-
Is it just me, or did the healing rift look OP as hell? I give it a few weeks before it gets nerfed, if they don't from the beta alone.
-
Lets just assume that all shotguns will have range of chaperone with max impact
-
I think we can say that bungie is trying to make ALL supers roaming considers that from what we can see all are 3rd person
-
Eh. I prefer the old Voidwalker. Just one big, mean bomb for quickly putting the brakes on an enemy roaming super.
-
NO!!! The point of a Nova Bomb is to end your enemies in ONE shot. It's not supposed to be a roaming super. ONE -blam!-ING SHOT
-
Where's that giraffe noise or loud far guy when you need him?
-
Am I the only one who likes Nova bomb to be a one and done super? Having multiple less powerful bombs sounds lame af
-
I seriously doubt it's improved with only 2 set skill trees. If anything it's nerfed probably no energy drain etc...
-
As a Voidwalker Warlock, I am also curious as to how they are improving it.
-
I would like to see a Nova Bomb that did no damage on impact. Instead, its governed by a perk called 'Event Horizon.' Any enemy within this radius is sucked into a micro-singularity and, depending on the number of enemy NPCs (note: no PvP) sucked in, a Super Nova detonates; small for fewer, larger for more. OP as -blam!-? Yes. Likely? Hells no.
-
Didn't they say that FoH gets 3 smashes? So NovaBomb should get 3 bombs. There, roaming super to implement. (V) (;,,;) (V) wubwubwubwubwub!
-
No I saw a nova bomb get thrown in one of the trailers. It was really slow and had axion bolts coming out of it, after it struck this giant vex boss. Also I saw a void grenade get thrown, which fired out several axion bolts. From what I saw, axion bolts are everywhere with the revamped voidwalker.
-
Voidwalker now is bigger and splits into axion darts on impact

Doesn't sound bad...but in a recent interview they refused to say if VW was also going to be roaming so I'm assuming it isn't... Most likely blink will also be removed and from the looks there will not be a void aftermath but axion nade things that seek out targets... I've mained VW forever and I'm actually pretty worried about this class...we KNOW it's going to be in the game and they haven't said a SINGLE word about it not one peep...which leads me to think it's gonna be all -blam!-ed up... Guess we will find out next month...
