Lmao am I getting worse at pvp?
No idea what's going on lately.. but I swear each week for the last 3-4 to say, I've undoubtedly gotten worse and dare I say it awful? Hahaha just wondering if anyone else is having these #feels
I could blame the meta blah blah blah but Christ one game I'll be sweet as then next I'll got 0.7 for a few haha and ready to end it all, send out my 13 tapes to opponents and exact some revenge.
Anyhow just wanted to vent that and see if anyone else has got the pvp blues about them.

Shots don't register, people appearing out of nowhere/not on radar and getting shot through walls etc. Can't fight against that. After about 8 or so games like that it evens itself out again. And that's pretty much the cycle of crucible for me haha.

1 ReplyI find a few things about pvp interesting : 1) some days I can dominate every match 2) I can have a good k/d a few games and then the next lucky to even get kills over deaths. 3) tag teams , no win situation unless you have a super 4) spawning in just to get taken out right away 5) other team spawning right behind you 6) the invincible player which a whole clip does no damage

For me, it's the opposite. I feel pvp has become much easier. That. Or the lobbies I'm put in is full of newbies.

I seem to go back and forth, but I've had a few tough games. Even a couple of four and outs (four deaths without a kill, all due to superior opponent skill; I do my team a favor and exit the match). I don't have very many of those anymore.

I'm in the same boat as you, I think most people are feeling the same way at this point. 6v6 is very frustrating but ToO still seems to be fun when you play the sidearm/sticky meta for laughs.

I think less people are playing Crucible because Bungie left it in such a bad state. The only people left are the sweaty tryhards. If you're good at something, you'll want to keep doing it. Since they're so damn good at PVP (and abusing metas), they're all that's left.

I just lost 11 mayhem games in a row, my win 3 games in 1 day bounty is still 0/3. Same things keep happening over and over. Fist of panic a guy, do 0 damage THEN he fist of panics me. Takes me 9 rounds of pulse all target (27) bullets to kill a guy, yet I due to 1 mida shot. People constantly not appearing on radar, or in the wrong direction if they do. More red bars than ever before. Parties of 3 made up of USA, Finland, and Russia, taking damage referee to a whole new level.

Me too pal, happens all the time. And another thing I've noticed becoming more common is no name tags above enemies. By the time I realise it's a bad guy I'm halfway dead...

I wouldn't judge your skill in this meta. Even the top players who win tournaments over and over can go on a streak where they go negative in a pub.

I thought there was information out on bungie manipulating algorithms to try to steer players from being able to go more than 1 win 1 loss on a rinse and repeat? Maybe it was speculation... but that's the most close guess I've believed in I'm average when i crucible... but anytime after I stomp, I'm guaranteed to get wrecked the very next game. Because teams get broken up to ensure that. I'm not the hugest fan of crucible in general. I've come to terms with winning one game and turning it off. Seems to reset that BS team BS if you log off for a day

Yeah the only people left are the real diehard destiny fans who are super sweaty and the few that just bought the game cause it's really cheap right now or the few that are still trying to get that God roll eysluna or hawksaw

11 RepliesSince the latest meta update I've not had a 40+ kill game. Before when special ammo was around and shotguns were decent and against the right players I could easily drop a 5kd 40+ kill game. Now if I get over 20 kills in a game I'm impressed. Either the meta doesn't suit our playstyles and rewards the campers or all the bad players have stopped playing and we are left with the above average ones

5 RepliesYes, it is rotating server favoring it seems... To me it feels like one second favors your gameplay style and then all of a sudden, if you get 40 meters near anyone, they will not miss one single crit shot and every single gun has luck in the chamber and armor piercing rounds and will go through walls killing you with shot number 2 or 3 while you need a whole clip to get a shield down... To combat you need a sniper and a hand cannon. Snipe for the massive damage, then one/two tap with primary and play very very very very very passive. I truly do not understand how some people never have issues. Makes me jealous.

Same here. I don't really know most of the time, but I know sometimes melees won't register. Really frustrating.

The source of the problem is the shitty matchming algorithm and the small quantity of players. Within the past hour I had one game where I was the top player with 21 kills and a 2.6 K/D. The next game my team was getting demolished and I had a 0.6 K/D.

Skill bases matchmaking, you're getting better opponents, you were doing good, you got better, and eventually what ever stat they use to determine your skill increased enough to put you in the next skill bracket
