RNG seems to be your main source of creating game time & replay-ability, instead of relying on quality content.
I think if items were very expensive, & had to be earned, it would make obtaining the item way more enjoyable, and you'd have a sense of accomplishment along with earning said item.
So, imo, if items were very expensive, & there were Quests involved, and we knew what we were getting and how to get it, it would be much better than the lazy disrespectful RNG slot machine.
Same goes for weapon and armor perks. Everything should have a path to be earned.
Instead of level 40, how's about level 500, with unlocks along the way?

Also, I think it would be interesting if your chances of obtaining high-level gear increase each time you do [b]not[/b] receive high-level gear. To make it fair, your chances would reset once you do get the gear.
