How to reach 400 light from 390 light most quickly?
I have reached 390 light finally, but cannot get anything higher than 380s from anything! The highest thing I have right now is 392. How do I reach 400 without doing raids before D2 comes out?

Farm Archons forge for 6 hours straight get 400 from 385 best and fastest way! Be aware it makes braindeath but its a fast way to goal!

Iron Banner is the best way when it comes around. Finding a Fireteam and doing the weekly featured Raid and the other three Raids. Ranking up in the factions grant anything over your current light level. Doing the Nightfall, Challenge of Elders and if you're feeling froggy theres always Trials of Osiris. They're are plenty to do. Good luck!

Iron banner it gives you loads of gear to rank up make sure you get the bounties too.

The quickest is [b]Raiding![/b] but since you don't want to level up the quickest way you have to grind strikes,vanguard,Crucible,3oC, and faction packages. Buy heavy ammo synth from Xur, trade from seeds/ Wax Idol and turn them in to factions. You can also run Archons Forge and lastly grind the shot out of Iron Banner! Do all of that on one character! Even after you reach 400 on that character keep going and infuse the junk 400 onto your next character. But honestly you have 4 max Light raids to run. It is the fastest way possible. Other than that you just have to grind it out. No shortcuts.....

Edited by g_DAta2015: 6/23/2017 6:00:25 PMRun Nightfall. Get your experience booster so you can quickly level up faction, vanguard and crucible ranking (including ghost). Each package now drops up to 400. Also skeleton chest at the end of strikes also gives you gear up to 400, including an artifact. Weekly bounties also award gear up to 400. Arcon Forge also drops gear up to 400. Use 3oC whenever possible for exotic engrams. Keep an eye on your glimmer and legendary marks, as well as materials and parts. Infusing gets expensive.

Focus on your lowest light item. You can lookup the what strikes drop what. primary/artifacts/hemets. Crucible for weapons. engrams for legs and chest (or weekly strike bounties or IB) I thought I was getting 400 gear from heroic strikes. Can't remember for sure. I thought all the vendor packages could drop 400 light weapons and gear now. Crucible / vanguard / faction / queen / POE / gunsmith / etc.

fkn raid. That's the fastest way. We have 4 raids that all drop 400 gear right now. If you ran them all on 1 character this week, you would probably be 400.

5 RepliesEdited by OldboyVicious: 6/23/2017 3:39:26 AMIn addition to farming packages, I reccomend using 3oC as much as possible and saving your exotics til you're 395 & higher. Equip whatever gear puts you at your maximum overall light level. Decrypt only the one in your lowest light level slot. So just as an example: Primary 400 Secondary 392 Heavy 396 Helmet 397 Gloves 397 Chest 398 Boots 392 Class Item 393 Artifact 399 Ghost 395 If you have exotic engrams for boots and secondary, decrypt them because they are your lowest two at 392. If they drop at a higher light level than your overall light, immediately equip or infuse them to raise your light before decrypting another engram. In this situation where one weapon and one armor piece are tied for lowest, pick a weapon from packages because you will have a 1 in 3 chance of getting the weapon you need at a higher light as opposed to a 1 in 4 chance to get the armor slot you need. Every package also has a chance at dropping a ghost and or class item so don't worry about those too much. So let's say that the above stats give you an overall light of 396 (probably wrong I didn't do the math but for an example it doesn't matter)... I'd recccomend decrypting your secondary weapon, equipping/infusing it, then your boots, equipping/infusing them, and hopefully they dropped at high enough light to get you to 397. Pick armor from packages at this point since you have a 1 in 3 chance of getting a primary, which won't help since your primary is 400 already. Once a slot hits 400, do not decrypt anymore exotics for that slot until your overall light is 400, because after that point, all exotics will decrypt at 400 so you can use them to equip or infuse your favorite legendaries to 400.
