You can't really say any of this until you play the game....
You have no idea how these changes effect PVE, if at all. More than likely the encounters will be balanced according to the changes.
With that, I don't like the direction PVP is going. I prefer fast paced gameplay.

IMO making an encounter stretch out a lot longer is in no way "balanced" it's just streching out the encounter and nothing els. [quote]With that, I don't like the direction PVP is going. Suggesting you know more about the PVE in this game beyond one strike that is STILL subject to change is just false. The subject to change is called a license agreement which this company abuses. They love to over glorify the game and say you have this, you have that, but it's not necessary what you will get with final product. My opinion only suggested that I was going off of this companies actions and their actions speak a hell of a lot louder than the words. I'd say that is a strong argument that you can't deny. This company has formed a pattern that they've been stuck in for the last 3 years. People don't just change over night so I don't expect anything less then how D1 played out. You have your opinion and I have mine. So I'll just agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Your opinion has absolutely nothing to do with what I am arguing. John Weisnewski just did an interview, they are still tweaking the weapon systems. Bungie, in the past has made DRASTIC changes in the sandbox from patch to patch so until the final game has rolled out we have not idea how the new weapon system will play out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58XtTJJ2mF4 To state otherwise simply because you feel the company has made poor choices in the past is completely irrelevant and mutually exclusive to the point I am making. Maybe the new weapon system will suck, maybe the encounters will take longer, that isn't my point, my point is, if it does suck, we have no idea to what extent it will suck.

No we don't. People are throwing around assumptions based on D1's mechanics, economy, encounters and sandox. Without stoping to even consider for a second that D2's sandbox, encounters, ammo economy, etc are all crafted/tuned around the new weapon system. Gamers are using their Destiny 1 decoder ring to [i]try[/i] and decipher how D2 will play. I've yet to come across anyone with actual, firsthand gameplay experience of D2 raising the same concerns as randos are on the internet.

I watched his video and he never says that D2's new weapon system is bad. Instead Kackis goes on to explain why the power weapons in D1 were needed in pve because of how much health bosses have and the players wouldn't have enough dps to beat them in a reasonable amount of time. That's why ghorn was so popular in year 1 as it had the best damage output in the game at the time. Then Kackis goes on to explain that in D2 the bosses' health will be less, making kinetic and energy weapons viable for boss fights with power weapons being used as add clearers, captain crushers, boss bruisers, or as panic buttons. With your negative outlook on D2's weapon system, it's clear that you have already made up your mind. By throwing a steamer's name out there like that without checking to see if you're right is not a smart move. Let alone not realizing that there are other people who watch them and that people can see for themselves. Besides, it's always better to try things out for yourself and make up your own mind with what you have learned.

Exactly, everyone's opinions come from a biased view. When actual facts and proof to back them are presented then you can make assumptions about it, but still nothing beats personal experience.

Dude, I'm listening to a video right now and he's basing all his arguments on how Destiny 1 encounters played out, complaints he had about D1 and how he [i]thinks[/i] ammo will work in D2.
