Since we seem so in distress over D2 pvp, I think now's the perfect time to set up a timed 4v4 event. Just to see how players receive it. I understand the loadouts and mechanics aren't the same, and that the D2 beta is soon, but I think it'd be a nice experiment.
What do you think?

Edited by Moot: 6/24/2017 4:57:55 PMWhat's the point in putting a 4v4 playlist into D1? The sandboxes in D1 and D2 are too different to use that as a proxy to see if people like it or not.

You'll be able to play 4v4 in a few weeks. I'm sure it'll be in the beta.
-
1 ReplyUmmm no they need minimum ping requirements. That's the shit that breaks this game.
-
Private match.

3 RepliesI think the people at Bungie should just try playing the crucible. But not in their bat cave but on the real world internet. They might realise how bad it is.
-
They got the idea from the all important competitive community so they have great confidence in it. Which means they have insured their streamers are all good to go and have little else to worry about with Destiny 2
-
Just gather buddies and do 4v4
-
I think the perfect time is near the end of July.
-
Already got to test it in control yesterday even tho it was supposed to be six v six.
-
1 ReplyI don't know about you, but I get 4v4 games all the time. And 4v5. Don't need D2 for this, just go to Crucible these days.
-
Ask your friends to private matches and see how it works for you :)

Destiny 2 sequel, with a nice big pvp downgrade lol From a selection of 2v2, 3v3, or 6v6.... To 4v4 alone.... Madness, to defend that, you'd have to have a brown smelly tongue.... If anything a sequel should be expanding the old format. Like adding 8v8 to the mix....

4 RepliesBeta bud

1 ReplyLike.....in a beta.....
-
3 RepliesBeta is where they test it.
-
2 RepliesThe only thing that will prove is 4 less people, 4 less red bars. Let's hope it gets cleaned up for D2. Notice I said "Hope" right?
-
6 RepliesIf only there was this limited time event coming up in a few weeks. An event that you can test something out and see if you like it. Something like a.... Idk.... Beta? No no... That would be crazy.

Edited by Dark Raven 2501: 6/22/2017 9:19:37 AMIf you idiots want a pvp so badly why not have one event every year for every one called "Last man standing" where its a 1v1 until there's no one left. The last person is the winner. Or you can call it "Battle of the bullets" I bet this will get sony wet
-
It is called a "beta". Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
-
test it, you mean like a beta
-
4 RepliesEdited by FrenetiCreature: 6/21/2017 5:49:35 PMThis is a little off-topic here, and probably a dumb question, but I don't know... Will the beta be open? Do you have to pre-order to play, or will you just be able to play?

1 ReplyI've gotten into quite a few 4v4 games with how matchmaking works in Destiny and I personally find it a lot more tolerable and fun, but that is mainly because I don't run in to 2+ players every time I round a corner. Also, on the few maps that have arguably a better/easier side to be on if it were 6v6 (shores of time being a great example) couldn't just sit on the other side and dominate all game. I think that 6v6/8v8/etc. would be great to add down the line along with larger maps(and vehicle play...hopefully), but, it seems they are sticking with the small/medium sized map design that was mostly in D1. People keep bringing up other games that have huge multiplayer modes/maps, but those games are most often made more with PVP in mind than PVE.
-
Yeah they did that. It's called a "beta"

16 RepliesEdited by Saxifraga: 6/21/2017 3:20:59 PM4vs4 is just a "mode" to make their lousy P2P networking look better. 12vs12 in 1080p 30Hz is standard these days. Bungie is a bunch of retards living from their Halo days of fame.

4 RepliesHalf of the 6v6 games i get into are 4v4 anyway
