Kaos had attacked Serenity. He had jumped off of the table, and gone after a weapon, pulling several carts and wires with him. Serenity knew this would happen, but felt some hope it wouldn't.
"Kaos, it's me!" He yelled through his metallic jaw at the creature in front of him.
It said nothing as it picked up a pipe and charged at him. Kaos slammed the pipe into Serenity's leg, breaking it and causing him to fall over. Serenity refused to fight back because he did not wish to hurt Kaos, but he was about to bear down on him and raised the pipe over his head. Serenity held his arm up and looked away, but before it impacted with Serenity, however, it stopped. Hovering inches above his head, Kaos looked at him with his one working eye.
"Ser-en-ity," he said, a hint of sadness and regret filled his voice and morphed his metallic face. He dropped the pipe, and fell to his knees.
"Kaos..." Serenity said, compassion and empathy caking his words. "Everything is fine, you didn't know."
"I h-hurt you, m-my f-friend," Kaos said, looking at the floor. "H-how many t-times is t-this?" He asked.
"Eighteen-thousand nine-hundred and ninety-two," Serenity responded, getting up and limping on his bent and broken leg.
His leg had crushed unter the power of that hit, and he sat on the operating table and began repairing himself. Kaos kept staring at the floor, Serenity knew he was thinking this had only happened once or twice. In reality, it had happened about once every week for the last 250 years. Most times, he would wake up and be fine, a few hiccups in his memory and made up stories about what happendd, but then there are times like this. Times when his aggression pokes out and he lashes out at everything around him.
Serenity knows he doesn't mean it. It was those monstrous scientists that did this to him. Only fragments of his memory remains.
"I am v-v-very s-sorry, S-serenity," Kaos said, his one eye twitching.
By this time, he had almost fully bent his leg back into shape and was repairing the wiring inside with a plasma fuser.
"It's alright, Kaos. Go lie down, I'll finish up here," Serenity said, finishing the repairs on his leg.

Serenity left the Medical Room, the remnants of the light hanging from the ceiling. He would come back another day and repair it, but for now he walked into the dark bunker.
He found the light switch and powered up the generators, turning on every light in the bunker. The humming of the generators could be heard echoing through the tunnels. He walked through and began looking for Kaos.
He found him, sitting on his bed staring at the wall.
"How are you doing, Kaos?" Serenity asked as he approached him. He said nothing but continued staring at the wall.
"I h-have h-hurt you so-so man-y t-times," he finally said.
"Well, Kaos. I promised to be with you and help you every step of the way, and I will be there. Now, I want you to know that tomorrow I'm going back out into the Flood Zone to find a new light for the Medical Room," Serenity replied.
Kaos only nodded his head, and blinked his one working eye.
Serenity could feel it. It was going to be a long day tomorrow.
