Anthem is basically the real Destiny 2. From the little background info it's given, it's obvious it ripped off Destiny and expanded on it.
From the Last City storyline, to the Walls, and it's Colossus and Ranger classes. It even featured a type of Public Event.
This game honestly looks like what I had imagined Destiny would be like three years ago.
I mean I'll still play Destiny 2 but if Anthem does everything Destiny should have done, I'll probably get myself an X.

1 ReplyNo Because Nothing Kills Destiny Bioware still has a Negative Opinion from people due to ME:A (Despite it Being a Good Game) Bioware Pìssed off its own Fans by focusing on the New IP, and leaving a B team to make a Mass Effect game (Its Still good)

10 RepliesNo Man Sky kills destiny.....nope Overwatch kills Destiny.....nope Battlefield 4 Kills Destiny...nope Ya good luck with this...
-
4 RepliesYay pointless hype over a bad game, this is what happened to Battlefield 1

Can we stop with this Destiny killing? Are yall really still that salty after all these years.. about nothing? Could easily just look forward to the fcking game.

No. 1. There are lots of apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic games out there. Sign of the negative mood of the times. 2. The game seems to be more like what Mass Effect: Andromeda should have been. 3. As for the MMO-style aspects of game play that are critical parts of the Destiny "formula"? Didn't see any evidence of it yet. In short, im seeing a game that reminds me more of ME: A and The Division, than of Destiny.

1 ReplyDestiny died years ago bro
-
2 RepliesLOL IT'S JUST LIKE THE DIVISION RELEASE ALL OVER AGAIN!😂
-
Anthem is a 2019 release. Destiny won't have to compete with it until Destiny 3.
-
Any game called killer of another game ends up being no killer.

1 ReplyNo just stop how many destiny killers popped up on this forum and how many of them ended in disaster? That's right all of them if anyone comes to this conclusion with only seeing that much gameplay you're insane

I really dont understand how people are still trying to say that one game will kill another when neither of them are released yet, and in fact anthem is pretty far off from release. What it seems to consistently come down to is gameplay which we wont really be able to determine until both games are out, or at least have an open beta for both games. How something looks on screen does not fully show off the gameplay, especially when it is still in development and the people playing are not random people they are payed professionals who have probably run through that section multiple times. On top of all this anthem has one major problem with it that i can see so far and that is that it is third person, while third person can be done well, it is far more difficult, it is harder to aim precisely, and so it greatly changes up the mechanics for weapons and play styles, it is one of the major reasons that in games like the division smgs and assault rifles are king, while sniper rifles and single fire rifles are just ok. In contrast destiny is the flip side of this, scout rifles are the top and assault rifles are left for the spray and pray PvP group (though some scouts are still very good there as well), and are pretty worthless in things like raids. So without actually being able to play the game it is rather impossible to tell if this third person decision will be good for the game, especially since we already know that first person works very well for destiny. If you can say nothing else about destiny it is that its gunplay/shooting mechanics are very solid, and that can be hard to compete with.

We know barely anything about anthem, and its ea.

Please, for the love of god shut up and do not call Anthem the Destiny killer. For one, Destiny the Game is dead, and Destiny 2 has not been released yet. For two, I can play Destiny 2 and Anthem at the same time believe it or not. For three, do not jinx Anthem by calling it the "Destiny Killer" as most games that have been given that name have flopped and I want Anthem to be a good game.

15 RepliesEdited by CIKiller: 6/12/2017 2:50:06 AMSure, Anthem will kill Destiny/Destiny 2, just like: Overwatch Battleborn Halo 5 Titanfall 2 The Division Doom 4 COD: Infinite Warfare ME: Andromeda FOR HONOR No Man's Sky Rainbow 6 How many more games must come out and fail to drain Destiny's population to the point of the game being dead before this stupid trend stops?

2 RepliesYou got all of that from a 45 second clip?

L. Get good kiddo

If a game came out that was multi player pve and it looked and played similar. I think many of the pve people would leave, just to get away from the nerfs that have ruined this game. I would be one of them. Top 1% in time played. I wouldn't look back.

The fact that so many destiny like games are happening still shows Bungie knows what they are doing lol. It's like Halo all over again.
-
1 ReplyRemember when people thought eso online was going to kill destiny lol. Also when people though the division was going to kill it?

Edited by XxFILOVIRIDAExX: 6/12/2017 12:54:45 AMThere isn't enough information out about either to make any type of judgement. I really hope both are great games, but after the orginal Destiny hype train I'm always going to be skeptical about new games.
can't forget the crap called division
1 ReplyHmm. A game set for a fall of 2018 is going to compete head to head with destiny 2 that will release sep 2017...... I don't think so.

1 Reply3 years and people still claim "____ will kill Destiny". Sad.
