Got an offensive msg after an iron banner match
I recently played some iron Banner and got a very offensive message after a game. Long story short I was told to kill myself along with some very offensive slurs. He got mad at me for killing him and told me I was camping when I was in fact rushing. And I am by the way fully disabled with a mental handicap and I took this very offensively. I reported the messages to Sony. I play to have fun with games. And no I don't play trials because I am not very good at PVP I play PVP to have fun

Some person sent me message telling me to go hang myself cause I was guarding a zone in zone control, I ended up sending it to Sony, I get hate mail all the time.

Getting random messages from random strangers in a videogame is flattering, at worse. It humors me that someone would stop what they are doing and go out of their way to [i]search and peck[/i] out a msg with their opinion of how I play a game. It's only laughable.

I had to do the same a few weeks back. Some dude spammed me for almost 5 minutes after loosing a skirmish match... People are childish babies, don't feel bad about reporting them, feel bad that their parents didn't beat their ass when they were younger.

No derogatory comments ever effect me unless they have some semblance of truth at their heart. If you or others do not view you from that perspective; then quickly dismiss those comments and carry forward. If there is any truth to the statement presented then look inward and make the adjustment .

I'm sorry that you feel bad about that message but i am willing to bet that it was a kid, a pre-teen or a teenager, that sent you that message. Kids dont understand the power of their words and lack impulse control. They're barely human beings anyway. If you got hate mail for outplaying someone, you've reached the peak of Destiny's multiplayer. Seriously. Thats the top. You've made it to the top. Of course someone is gonna try to knock you down. Thats how competition works.

I'm an adult and their messages don't affect me. I tell them that if they were to send a message to a young kid, he might be swayed to go actually through with it. Basically what they have replied is: "if a kid is going to kill himself from a message he received on PSN, then I hope he does it because he doesn't deserve to live." Honestly it's disgusting and I don't know where people like this come from. The state of humanity in this world is so broken.

I once got an extremely rude msg in russian and reported it, it basically said he would "do something" to my mothers "behind" until she would bleed to death from the damage. Sony answer was "there is nothing wrong with that message, please stop reporting messages or we will suspend your account". This was the 1st time i have ever reported someone and this how they answered me. I then took to the official forum, i posted a screenshot of the msg, a screenshot of google translate page with the translation and a screenshot of Sony TOS where it clearly says that rudeness is not allowed. A lot of other users answered saying it was ridiculous what sony did, but from Sony i got total silence. If somene sends you a msg you don't like just block and delete. There is nothing else you can do. If you complain, Sony threatens you.
