No. Scufs are fine. I dont really want one, as I can switch grips on the fly. Benefits of being musical 😃

1 ReplyHow would you know to begin with.

Meh. Could care less what others use.

4 RepliesWell, it still requires the thumbs to aim. And, you can move around while aiming with a regular controller but it's uncomfortable because you need to claw. So you could argue that it's not. But, with the Elite Controller, the hair trigger stopper is designed to help you shoot faster. And there's also the adjustable thumb sticks for more precise aiming. Those are empirical factors that give an advantage over a stock controller. And, If you ask anybody who has used one, they'll tell you they can't go back to a regular controller afterwards. It's easier to use. So you could argue it gives an advantage. But here's my problem with those controllers: Microsoft (maybe Sony, idk) knew that controllers with buttons on the back were popular and were standard for MLG players at events during the 360s lifespan. So, why wouldn't they design and launch a controller with buttons on the back for their new game system, the Xbox One? Because they knew that people were willing to spend up to 200 dollars to get one. Go read any official product description of the Xbox Elite controller and it'll sound like a "Pay-to-Win" nightmare if it were describing in-game microtransactions.

No, but your a massive try hard for buying one. You can map your buttons using the settings on both consoles or learn to play claw. Once you get your primary shot while playing claw, the rest is easy.

All it does is add extra buttons, not really cheating. If it was cheating, Microsoft wouldn't have made an Xbox Elite Controller. Having a scuf is like changing your button layout in-game. Same difference. Anyone who voted "yes" doesn't know the difference between a scuf, and a modded controller, or are just mad they can't afford a scuf.

1 ReplyAll I know is you must be a try hard to buy a $100 controller
It's just like using a rapid fire controller
It most certainly is not like using a rapid fire controller. With one of those, you flip a switch, hold down the trigger, and the controller fires as quickly as possible for you. I had one as a kid for Starfox 64, and it was definitely cheating. How is the Elite/Scuff like that?

What's a scuf pad?

Don't ask a question and then answer it yourself.
