Considering that EVERY MOBILE PHONE for the last 5 years includes some form of earphones with a mic.............................................how in the name of GARY (GILL? GLEN?....SOMETHING WITH A "G"!) are people still waiting to participate in raids without a mic?
...unless you're planning on soloing the raid ;-)
1 ReplyEdited by MagicalTaco117: 6/8/2017 7:51:14 PMI have a good friend who I have raided with many times before that doesn't have a mic and can handle herself better than half the idiots you find on LFG. Hell, she pulled off Aksis challenge better than 99% of LFG (she waved when empowered)..... why doesn't she have a mic.... she can't talk due to a medical problem. So before assuming that people who don't have a mic are choosing to not use one, please stop to think that maybe there is a legitimate reason they don't.

2 RepliesThat's right up there with the guy that joins a raid with 2 heavy ammo synths total in his inventory. That one gets me right there. I have like a min of 100 at all times. But yea, not having a mic is tough. Ill usually give the player a chance at trying, but raids require way too much communication to not have one.

2 RepliesAs someone who does not use a mic due to personal reasons, I can say the raids can be done without one, but it will take longer. I have done both VOG, and Crota challenge modes with no mic (never done Oryx, or Wrath) and it just takes a little explaining before each encounter and some patience and you can do it. I can completely understand why some people require a mic in raids, and I'm ok with that, but some people don't have the option to use one either due to personal circumstances, or money, or disability, or a number of other reasons. These people should not be left out of end game content due to this, it just may take a bit to find someone who is willing to teach them.

I think it has less to do with actually not having a mic and more to do with shy players with social anxiety issues. But something like a raid where communication is key, players must have a mic.

8 RepliesJust curious, but do Apple wired earbuds work with the PS4? I've always used the single earpiece crappy one that came with the system.

Edited by ForHisKingdom: 6/8/2017 6:35:10 PMPart of the reason I wrote this song. It's frustrating when people join the hardest content in the game with the expectation they can do it without communication....

2 RepliesOnce done oryx hard with 2 deaf people they where in mid so didn't really have to say anything true story.

4 RepliesI did wrath of the machine without a mic. Lol.

I've ran a couple successful raids with someone without a mic but they were playing in the same room with a friend who had a mic so it wasn't too bad. That being said, I feel a mic is a must.

1 Replyi honestly don't understand it. i think it boils down to they just do not want to talk. so they make the excuse that their mic doesn't work or they don't have one. you can literally go to Wal-Mart and buy one for 12.36. sure it's a generic brand and basic model. but it works. i've used one for a little over 2 years now and have never had any problems with it.

No mic=boot.

I honestly don't have an issue with someone not talking in a raid. In my personal experience they have played better than most of the people I've entered a raid with.
