As someone whose main class was a Warlock I'm glad they're removing self res on warlocks. My reasons are I feel like a play better and die less when I am not using self res as I don't have that self res as a crutch. Not only that but Dawnblade looks -blam!-ing awesome. What do you guys think about Dawnblade?
Edit: fixed some spelling :)
Edit: This is my opinion. If you have a different option let's agree to disagree. Have a nice day. :)
Edit: I'm specifically talking about PVE, not PVP

3 RepliesI love self res. I get to kill the same Warlock twice as fast.
-
2 RepliesSong of flame has always been my favorite sunsinger perk. Why come back from the dead when you, your teammates, your pets, your teammates pets, and your grandma can be chucking grenades at the enemy?
-
Warlocks are bae, but yeah, removing self-rez gives incentive not to be so comfortable knowing you can come back. It demands greater focus and clarity.
-
4 RepliesThe amount of times I clutched Templar with a self res... I'm gonna miss it.
-
1 ReplyI am hyped for Dawnblade! By the way, the way you said it will bring salt. Nobody likes their crutches called crutches.
-
14 RepliesJust another example of how pvp ruins pve. Self Rez in no way is overpowered, but the crucibabies always get their way, D2 pve gonna suck!
-
1 ReplyI DONT THINK THEY ARE now that I've got your attention, I noticed the fireborn symbol on the dawn blade perk tree... it may still be here...
-
3 RepliesThe Problem is, people like you. People like you have made Nerf happen. It seems like people forget PVE and go on about their PVP gameplay, they forget their whining actions in PVP are what creates NERFS and ruins PVE. the problem is guardians these days have very little originality. there is nothing that makes a HUNTER a HUNTER, A Warlock a Warlock or a Titan a Titan, for the most part it seems in name only mostly everything else gets nerfed except their favorites titans
-
You can call it a crutch if you feel that way, I don't. 1. It's a safeguard against game glitches 2. Allows you to offer team dynamics otjers can't (sacrifice yourself for the echo sword rus, for example) 3. Allows me to play a tank style of combat. I dunno. Perception is everything
-
9 RepliesOh no, now how will the bad players raid now?
-
2 RepliesThis makes no sense. When you're using sunsinger, you are in no way forced to use self res. IMO, you're hindering yourself due to the self res changes. As a sunsinger main, rarely do I EVER bother using anything other than radiant skin. That goes for both PvE and PvP. Taking it away did nothing to help the game. I prefer having multiple options vs being streamlined.

1 ReplyI'm excited because I can finally use whatever class I want in end game activities. I will always be a Voidwalker at heart
-
I hope voidwalker doesn't suck now that they took away ability spam... Scatter grenade spam was so damn fun and powerful. We better still have drain build.
-
3 RepliesThat's the only way they're viable in PvE.
-
I just don't see what's so bug about dawnblade when it looks like each swing does the same as sticking a fusion grenade. So it's really just replacing self revive with flying.
-
1 ReplyI haven't been following info on D2 real close so forgive my ignorance, but where or when did they say they are completely removing it?
-
39 RepliesSleeper Suliman can self res on a Hunter
-
2 RepliesI loved radiant skin and double Viking grenades.

My problem is the classes have "supers" no matter if i like them or not. They shouldnt just change. Its kinda like "signature moves". Its a sequel yes...but its still destiny at the end of the day. So we just totally scrap the lore? What would ryu be without a fireball or that uppercut, scorpion with out the "get over here"? Maybe add another super to each class, or subclass but getting rid of them makes no sense to me.
-
Yeah that's fairy nuff actually. Sure it's great if you can hold onto it and be able to use it at the right time to save the day but other than that it's fairly useless and often just goes unused... And also you do tend to allow yourself to die a lot more than if you didn't have the self Rez...
if anyone's gonna bother checking my warlock and see I don't actually have self Rez unlocked, I did back in yr 1 but I started a new character and only recently found a little motivation to lvl up my warlock. So trust me, I do have experience with self Rez...
RIP.....PvP raiders
-
Never really relied too hard on self-res unless nightfall or raid. Theres no point in running self res in any crucible match besides TOO. I love seeing the person i just killed, res up, and get killed again.
-
1 ReplyThey only removed it so they don't have to fight self rez cheeses like in ToO or raids again
-
6 RepliesStormtrance can now be activated from beyond the grave

Is hammers with an added slam

It was not bad to have but you are correct and now we have dawnblade which will be nice for dps or add clearing
