You point became invalid once you said pay to win, buying dlc isn't pay to win.

  • If certain guns are exclusive to certain dlcs and you cannot get those guns without the dlcs and people that did buy those dlcs can play with people that do not have them, how is that not pay to win. Of course this is not in the strictest form, but what I'm referring to is that if certain guns become popular for PVP and they are only obtainable through dlc does that not count?

  • No it doesn't simply because by buying the dlc I'm not given the weapons without playing. Pay to win in it simplest form is if I used silver to buy the gun than that pay to win. Destiny doesn't have any pay to win elements. Now for locking people out of content bungie isn't the first nor will they be the last to do this. Nor does it break any laws because people agree to it

It does not matter that they are the first or last to do this, they are indirectly forcing people to buy dlc to play content they previously owned. On the pay to win aspect, I'd argue it still counts as pay to win because even if you cannot buy[i/] the gun(s), they still can only be earned through owning that dlc and people that obtain those guns can play with those that do not own the dlc. Regarding Rise of Iron, if you preordered you could get the Year 3 Gjallahorn.

  • Here the thing you actually don't own the content nor do you own the game, you own the right to play the game and when they launch a dlc those rights a changed. Also you can't play pvp with out the dlc so that where your pay to win argument also fails

  • You can play PVP without the dlc, it is exclusive to year 1 maps, unfortunately and there are only 3 game modes (As shown in the video). People with dlc can still access these classic game modes which lies my p2w arguement.

  • Actually you have access to the weekly playlist, still isn't pay to win but if you wish to continue this argument than by your logic every game that has weapons behind a dlc is pay to win
