If you liked the past 12 months of D1 you probably will like D2. I personally expected dramatic and fundamental change and improvements beyond "freakin flips", bigger maps, and more cut scenes.
Also, if you think there are more things up their sleeve, like more improvements, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Any marketing expert will tell you that you put your best foot forward on a product reveal, especially when it drops just a few months later (September). You show what you want everyone to be writing about and talking about for the next few months. Trust me they showed their hand at the live stream, and the biggest innovative change I saw was.....wait for it....being able to enter new activities without going to orbit. OMG game changer.
If you are buying D2 because you saw a flip, because you believe it was necessary to change a gun system that wasn't even a problem, if you think more cutscenes means a better game, and because of a trials emblem on a DLC, then great.
I'll continue to have low expectations and maintain that this looks like what the past couple of additions to D1 were, money grabs and lazy development. Honestly you should expect more after over 2 years to make D2 and after using us as guinea pigs for 3 years.

I seriously doubt they showed their hand during the reveal. I'm almost certain they are saving the best for E3 in a couple of weeks.

I'm sure they will go into more detail about what they revealed during the stream at E3, but they had the whole world watching. It was their day. I know Bungie apologists are hoping that the reveal stream was the tip of the iceberg or just an intro, but I would bet all the money I have spent on D1 and all those re-skinned expansions, so like $120, that E3 will be for gameplay and more details about the stuff they have talked about, more guns, more missions and strikes, details about the treasure hunt crap. They wouldn't have left anything big, important, crucial, or anything that would help sell the game out of the reveal. Even if they didn't show it they would have mentioned it to get hype up. Trust me, you know about 90% of what you're getting with D2 at this point, you just haven't seen the small details. The things that Bungie considers big (bigger story and maps, new kind of quests, different weapon system, different sub classes, 4 man PVP) are out there and E3 will be to go into more detail about those and show them off.

Unlike 90% of the ppl on this forum, I thoroughly enjoyed D1. Anyone who didn't, like yourself, are already biased and are looking for reasons to dislike the sequel. Unlike most ppl I understand the concept of a "sequel" and was never expecting drastic changes.

I also enjoyed D1 so quite the opposite. I am looking for reasons to like, not dislike, the sequel. I also understand what a sequel is, but honestly there wasn't anything more inventive or better about that gameplay reveal than the Taken King expansion was. I understand that it is a sequel. the goal is to make the sequel better. They had these years, and our money from re-skinned expansions to make it better. I didn't see anything better, just different. Believe me the only reason I am wasting my time on here is because I really enjoyed the game, and I want to see it become good. Not because I want to see it fail.

Just the fact that you called the Lost Sectors addition "treasure hunt crap" without knowing anything about it tells me quite the opposite. Just that remark alone tells me that you are biased and closed minded.
