I've been a big fan of Witcher 3 and poured 50+ hours into the game, but I've never bought any of the expansion packs. I've been thinking about getting Blood and Wine, because it seems like a sizeable DLC, but haven't bought a DLC in the past that I've been fully satisfied with (apart from maybe the Oblivion DLC's).
So long story short: should I buy the Blood and Wine, why/why not.

Absolutely yes! It's a terrific end to such an amazing trilogy
-
Every single one of it's dlc is worth the money.
-
Yes It feels like a different game, area is so much more...not depressing
-
4 RepliesFor some reason, The Witcher could never really pull me in. I beat the base game and still haven't touched the DLC. I really don't know what it is about the game. I should love it. I don't, though. The immersion just isn't there, I'd think it would be but it just isnt

If you haven't both either expansions, get the expansion pass and play Hearts of Stone first
-
1 ReplyOnly 50 hours ? 😛 you barely scratched the surface of the game! To answer your question, yes, Blood and Wine is worth it. It's almost another full game.
-
2 RepliesBlood and Wine is definitely worth it. I'am actually doing another playthrough of the game at the moment. Have to collect all the gwent cards again.....
-
If you like the base game then yes. If you didn't, this dlc won't change your mind.
-
It was basically like buying a second game. There was so much stuff to do on that Dlc
-
It's a no-brainer. It is how DLC should be handled for all SP games.
-
Simple answer: if you liked The Witcher so far, then you'll enjoy the Expansion.
-
You haven't truly had a hard run till you go bachelor Geralt.

-
I just bought Witcher 3 complete edition yay, can't wait to play
-
Yes it's an amazing dlc.
-
I don't have it, but I've heard that Blood & Wine was really good.
-
I highly recommend getting both expansions. They're both amazing.
-
Get heart of stone and play that first. They both are extremely good, as good as the main game id say if not better

Blood and Wine would have been game of the year if it wasn't a DLC. It's about 20-40 hours long with a great story and memorable characters and if you have completed the main game there is a nice nod from the devs when you finish the story of B&W.

5 RepliesI wish i had more patience for Witcher3 cause it is a great game, i mainly stopped playing it cause it got to the point where to me it felt like a chore. Id put the game in, check my long ass list of Quests and just cry inside.

Edited by HeadHunter: 6/3/2017 7:21:27 AMIf you enjoyed the game you will love it. Any other company such as Bungie would have slapped a 60 dollar price tag on it and sold it as the witcher 4. But CD Projekt Red cares about their fans and Blood & Wine is worth every penny.

From what I've heard it's really good. I'm now looking forward to beating the main game and starting this.
-
3 RepliesI bought the witcher 3 on day one and never could get into it. Made it just past the Bloody Barron and quit. I just started playing again about 2 weeks ago, and beat Blood and Wine last week. It is by far one of the best expansions I have ever played.
-
1 ReplyYou absolutely should buy Blood & Wine. Why? It's the true ending for Geralt.
-
2 RepliesI'm near the end of the main storyline and can't wait to start the dlc. It's been hard putting it off!

2 RepliesEdited by Vgnut: 6/2/2017 2:37:56 AMBlood and Wine is the best piece of DLC ever made. It costs $20. Most companies would have sold Blood and Wine for $60 and called it "The Witcher 4" And if they had done that it possibly would have been 2016's GOTY.
