Seeing as Monarch is the new meta, I decided to show how to counter the adaptable Titan. There are Three ways of doing this.
Method A: Close Range
Use a Ronin Titan and keep on your toes. Move as much as you can, and stay close to Monarch. If Monarch attempts to use an energy sipho or rocket salvo, hit it as much as you can. When you see a shield appear on the Titan or a health increase, run away and try to regain some health if you can.
Method B: Long Range
Use Northstar or Ion. Move as much as you can, but stay behind cover to avoid being hit. Use your core immediately on the Monarch if you can. If you do get up close while using Ion, use your shield to deflect shots.
Method C:
Legion ( mid range):Shred the Monarch into little bits and pieces. You have enough health that it's not entirely necessary to stay behind cover, but it is suggested. Your biggest enemy will be your lack of mobility, so try to watch your enemies to make sure they do not strafe around the map and kill you.
While this is short, it should help some players defeat the new Titan.

I just want a North star buff

1 ReplyI keep seeing people post about the new Titan. He can't be that hard to kill. Do I really need to jump into the game and find out if he is that OP?
-
All I see in LTS now is that one team expects the entire other team to play Monarch, so they all become Northstars. Then they win.
-
3 Repliesremember when people would wale about tone?
-
Method D:
git gud.
Edited by ABeardedViking: 6/4/2017 12:42:50 AMMonarch isn't hard to counter solo. It's when a whole team runs her and plays has a team that she is pretty OP
-
12 RepliesLol respawn can't even handle balancing their new titan 😂
-
1 ReplyShoot it till it is doomed.
-
Most monarchs I've played against are too chicken to close distance, meaning that as long as you're careful to dodge the barrages and use your shields right, a disciplined tone, North Star, or Ion can chip away at their health without taking too much damage in return. If a second monarch flanks you, you're done for, but one on one isn't too difficult.
-
2 RepliesLegion might as well bend her over an f*ck her because legion destroys monarchs
-
When I'm playing monarch I have the most trouble against legion so legion is definitely it's counter
-
1 ReplySo...essentially play the game. No offense but if you're Ronin you have to go close, if you're Ion or Northstar naturally you keep your distance. Legion we all know is a giant turtle of death when facing you
-
That shit don't work vs me. Only way I've been killed as monarch is when I get surrounded by 3+ titans in a very open space.
-
Monarch has no tools for poking. Northstar has her cannon, Ion her laser shot, and Ronin can just hit and run. Monarch has to face on directly attack his opponents, and that's where Legion shreds him. Scorch is hopeless
-
5 RepliesSo if you are a Scorch main, you're screwed? lol. I basically use only Scorch.
-
Quick, overwhelming force, don't want to let her upgrade, especially not to T3
-
3 RepliesMethod a.) Walk slowly and menacingly up to her as Scorch, holding out your Thermal Shield as you do. She will be too scared to move, so you can get that easy kill👍
-
Hate it so far. Add more pve
-
3 RepliesUse Ronin and cut off that butterflies wings. Ronin is cordyceps, once that monarch passes by it's already over. Ronin will win by taking over and dominating it. If it's not Ronin, it's trash- Cartis
-
When Monarch is on the field, that should be the primary threat entirely, forget other titans since Monarch at Tier 3 is next to impossible to kill.
-
Back her into a corner with legion while using gun shield. She can't energy siphon the shield and the predator cannon shreds her.
-
Legion is a major pain in the ass when I run a Monarch.
-
Legion is also pretty useful in both ranges. While playing as Monarch I had way more trouble with Legions than I did with Ronins, Ions, or Northstars.
