7 RepliesLike other people of said, the only way this could've happened is someone who has Blacksmith playing Destiny on your account on their console, or via a glitch where item licenses are accidentally applied to a whole group. It is impossible to get it as a drop from any activity. With that being said, there's no reason why Bungie should unlock this item for you. I have a bunch of the pre-order stuff on my acc via downloading my acc onto a friends console, and I can't use that. I shouldn't be able to use it. Why? Because I didn't pre-order Destiny. You shouldn't be able to use the Blacksmith shader. Why? Because you don't have a code for the shader. Only way you can get one now is by buying one online.

I got the blacksmith Shader
If you have the shader, which was gotten by redeeming a code to begin with, then why do you need a code?

1 ReplyIf you randomly received this item (it is a special item only available by entering a code, it is -not- receivable as an award for a quest, raid, strike, etc), then one of two things have happened. The first is that Bungie's award system hiccuped and gave you the item by mistake because it sensed you had entered the code. The second is that your account logged in on another console that has access to this item in some way. This can happen with or without your knowledge. Either way, as the item is tied to a specific thing, without having that thing, you cannot use the item, regardless of how much you feel that you want or need to. It's best to just delete it and forget you ever had it. Also, you should change at least your password just in case it was caused by another person logging in using your account without your knowledge.

How did you get it? It doesn't drop from raids or a strike. It was only available by redeeming a code.

5 RepliesEdited by Tycho-3: 5/31/2017 6:17:38 PMIf you played your character/account on a different console, and that console had previously redeemed the shader code, it would show up in your inventory but you won't be able to use it. To my knowledge the only way to get the Blacksmith shader is a redemption code, it will not drop from a raid or strike.

did you get it on one console, but now want to use it on another console? That won't happen, as it was locked to the console it was redeemed on.
