Either way your stats wont be recovered even if the issue is fixed. Similar to why our missing weapons or delete characters wont be recovered. It suxs when this happen but unfortunately things happen.

The stats are in no way similar to bungie not restoring deleted characters/gear.

It is unfortunately. They are both data so data that didnt get recorded or was deleted may or may not be recovered. Unless bungie back up this data recovering it may not be possible.

Data is probably recorded still just the API isn't reading the logs.

But how do you know the stats weren't recorded? Maybe it's just a display glitch and they are working on getting them to display. I have no idea what's going on, but I highly doubt it's because the data wasnt being recorded.

Maybe it could be a display glitch but we cant assume that a glitch cant cause data to not be recorded or cause it to have a loss of data.

True...and no one will know until Bungie puts out a statement. So we shouldn't assume either the stats are lost or that they will eventually be retrieved. All we can do is wait and see.

If no data was recorded, then why did they post that they were investigating? They should have known that right away or figured that out pretty fast I think. Should not take a week to find out that there is no backup. And only Bungie can answer that. Usually there is always an automatic backup system in a larger IT infrastructure. They were also able to retreive the Ironbanner stats which were missing a whole week. It all startet when the retreived the IB stats. So it should somehow be linked to it. How they handle this issue is just a very poor communication to the customer.
