The playerbase will drop from 100s of 1000s to 5-10k...have fun playing a dead game. I think the servers will be finally shut down 3-4months after the drop of D2.

Lol. This game will become hot in 3rd world countries and will be populated by the worst P2P connection hosts that Deatiny has ever seen. It will have "servers" online for at least 3 years because D1 will still be sold in the bargain bins of every Digital store
-
Hmm...Destiny 1 is already cheap as shit...I think D2 will be availiable for 20-30bucks a months after release on the aftermarket. 99% of the people that own a PS4/One can easily buy a game for 30bucks. So I still think most players won't give a shit about D1 when D2 drops...as long as the PvP in D2 isn't total crap, then Sweats and Trials will still be a thing in D1.
-
I might wait for D2 to drop in price before i get it. If i get it... that is. But D1 will be the Brazillian delight and will be really hard to love with all that lag.
-
The servers won't shut down for a good 5-10 years
-
We'll see.
-
I mean yeah who knows, apocalypse isn't seeming impossible atm
-
No bungie specifically said the will continue to support d1 and keep it running for a good amount of time, not three months.
-
Why should they support a game no one is playing?
-
People will still be playing it.
-
I already said that...
-
And then you contradicted yourself by saying no one will be playing it, make your mind up.
-
"no one" = An overexaggeration of "so few it's not important" or "not enough to keep the expensive servers running". Make your mind up.
-
Mate i dont know why youre arguing, its not like i care, all im telling you is bungie have said they will be keeping everything functioning for the forseeable future. They said it, not me, im merely passing that information on to you, if you dont like it theres always #feedback
-
And I said that next to no one will play this game and I think they will decide to shut it down because it's not worth keepting all of it alive for such a small playerbase. It'll be better also since they could focus more on D2 or 3.

Edited by Mowbz: 5/29/2017 8:38:21 AMAnd i agree with you that will be the eventual end of it, when they see the player numbers dwindling and are preparing for d3, but i dont think thatll be for a while yet.
