What a bizzare answer. You say it's not a layer of code on an aging engine. I say it is Then you answer as if your first post never existed,bizzare.

    It's a sequel, a part two, a continuation. It naturally followes that Bungie wants players to become immersed in a fresh but recognizable universe while leaving behind problems for an engine designed to run two console generations, a metric butt load of patches and edits and the problems that came with them. Leaving behind the old engine and recreating what we have in hand and understand as Destiny with new code isn't unreasonable from a programing perspective. Thats why it looks similar. Heck Pixar remakes the character models with each sequel. I suppose I should apologize for assuming you'd understand that when I typed my woefully short reply. I'm sorry.
