This is my biggest concern for the game. In PvP if you can grab a crate of power ammo every 30 seconds, why wouldn't it turn into rocket fest? Shotguns become almost unusable as a whole in PvP. It will be interesting to see if you keep your ammo when you die, as in D1 you lost your heavy if you died. It will also be interesting to see if you keep your ammo in round based game types. In the current model of loadouts I just don't see why you wouldn't take 2 rockets every 30 seconds to a min if you have that ability. Sure 5-6 sniper shots can be nice....but you could scout rifle that sniper down and or just rocket them.
The other thing that plays into this whole loadout issue is exotics. As we saw in D1 certain exotics of certain types were able to be used in various slots. EX: Universal Remote, No Land Beyond, Sleeper Simulant. If they stay with this idea, it's conceivable you could have a sniper/shotgun energy weapon...which IMO would give you a distinct advantage but also takes away from your ability to use an exotic primary.
Time will tell....the Beta will be interesting.

I checked out some additional vids from the reveal. Seems it won't be as bad as I first thought. Rockets only get 1 shot, however in a 4v4 game that could be a guaranteed kill or two depending. If you were to get the power ammo twice in a round with a honing rocket launcher that could be OP but we will see I guess. The other weapons in the power slot are viable because of there ammo. Snipers/shotguns/fushion rifles all got 6 shots while the grenade launcher got 4 shots. Will be interesting to watch the struggle between the teams to get the power ammo.
