Rise of Iron DLC... Help!

Just purchased Destiny Rise of Iron 5/24/17 as a DLC for $30. Went to install the 25 character code, only to find out Bungie changed it from a DLC, to having to repurchase the whole game again as a "Bundle". So instead of accepting my $30 I now have to purchase a FOURTH COPY of the game! Why? I've now spent $239.97 for three copies of Destiny over the last 31 months. Why must I now buy the game again $59.99 for a total of $269.96, just to play the last part. And where does it end? $1,000.00 for Destiny2? Why can't Bungie be honest and tell us up front, that only a select few get DLC's, every one else has to buy the game four times just to play it. What makes it all worse is that I know people who paid half what I did and received STUFF with there game (trinkets & toys). Microsoft & Activision wipe their hands clean of any of this when I call to talk to someone, and Bungie has noone to talk to but other gammers. What can I do? I've now out the $239.97.....do I spend the additional $29.99 to have purchased the game now FOUR TIMES? What about Destany2, how many copies of the game ("Bundles") do I have to purchase just to play that when it comes out? Help!!!!!!!! Note: All three copies contain The Taken King.

Hello, Rise of Iron DLC is there as a standalone, but you need to own The Taken King on the account you're attempting to purchase on. Try just searching Rise of Iron in your console store until you find it. You may have to dig around for it.
