I had the same experience.
When the game is playing like that, best thing to do is to take a break and come back to it later.

That's why I started saving up other bounties, it lets you get the frustration out and lets you actually get something done.

It turned out there was a problem with my Internet causing packet loss, high ping times, and almost nonexistent upload bandwidth. I got it fixed. Internet tests show everything is great, but now the crucible plays worse than ever. The irony!
