DONT PRE ORDER!
No matter how good you think a game is going to be, DONT PRE ORDER.
English
-
ALWAYS PRE-ORDER If you want the pre-order bonuses and the collector's edition, it's the only way you'll get them. And there's really no effect on the game, the developers aren't going to stop working once orders hit the Magic Number because they've made enough money for the month.
-
Because throwing your money at a product you know very little about just to get a few worthless in-game items is a good idea...
-
A $10 reservation is "throwing money" where you come from? Who said how much I paid to pre-order? If it were the digital edition, you would have a point; but that's just one reason I only order physical products.

You have nothing to gain by paying in advance, so why do it?
-
nothing to gain
Wrong. I gain the knowledge that my physical collector's edition is reserved for me, won't be sold out, and will be there to be picked up at midnight. I'm going down the week before to pay off the balance, by the way, so I can get in the line to just pick up my game, instead of waiting around with a bunch of schmucks who didn't plan ahead and pre-order. It's sort of like flying first class as opposed to coach.
Not to mention the pricing is egregious.
Exactly.
-
Too late!
-
Why? Cause you told me not to?
-
It makes the devs not finish the game if they see they already have lots of money from pre orders. Honestly, devs should only allow pre orders when the game is finished.
-
See? I knew this was going to be the reason. Can I get some pot from you?
-
You do have an opinion, but it the long run, not finishing a game is a bad business practice because it will lead to less sales.
-
Well. I guess you're entitled to your opinion.
-
They are pretty much done with the game at this point lol. Maybe not a lot of the end game/dlc but the base game is pretty much done...
-
They shouldn't be working on DLC right now. Everything they're working on right now should be in the base game. Or else they'll milk all of you dry again.
-
No it's impractical for them to start dlc any later than now, especially because they said the dlc would be better in D2. Creating games take a long time, they better be done with D2 right now or they are f*cked...
-
I mean 1 new raid and selling 3 more as DLC doesnt seem very good.
-
You don't know what the DLC contains.
-
That's more than likely what they'll do.
