Grimoire was only a thing in the first place because D1's development took such a drastic turn/shift during its last year. There wasn't enough time and resources to find a way to include it. I'm all for finding better way to incorporate lore in the game, via story-telling and interactive elements. Versus flash cards on the screen. Scannable items, finding audio files, more descriptive flavor text, more in-depth cut scenes and better narration/voice-over. For full transparency, I'm part of that large, silent majority (the greater player base) that never once bothered to read any of the grimoire. I can name one, maybe two people from my clan that actually know any of the lore behind the game. So I guess what I'm getting at is.... This is a vocal minority issue that can be simply addressed by releasing a series of novels. Not something that effects the gameplay experience, itself. So I can't get behind being outraged.
