He isn't aren't complaining about lore being in game now. He is saying that removing the grimiore is a mistake.

Yes, grimiore=Lore. Who's to say we don't have something similar to it?

When they said no more grimiore people took that as no more out of game info cards. Which to me is the most likely thing. While they could basically have grimiore cards in game that seems unlikely. Bungie wants you playing the game. Not sitting at the Farm and reading cards. Besides that when they said lore in game people heard that as more explained story and narrators in the campaign and stuff. So as the post put it the quality would go down. Any lore would be biased towards the side that the narrator prefers. While it would be cool to see each side's opinion it would also have other shortcomings. Such as it would be much harder to explain stuff similar to oryx's rise to power. That happened centuries ago. To explain similar past events would be much harder. And it would be harder to explain unrelated topics. Like the story of the Ishtar collective's scientist that were trapped by a vex simulation.

If Bungie wanted people to play the game then why make them go online or download a companion app to read the grimiore? As you can see, many people were already "sitting on the farm and reading cards". On the aspect of the narrative lore, Who's to say that all lore will receive a narrative or a cutscene? There might be D2 lore that is definitely important so those will receive cutscenes and narratives. However, that doesn't mean smaller forms of grimiore cannot be included. They will carry the same information as before just without a visual or audio like experience. It's all just a guess though as neither you or I, will know everything about D2 until it comes out.

Grimoire is a part of the lore but Grimoire and lore aren't synonymous terms.
