I would hold off on PC if you enjoy playing PvP. Otherwise, you'll be fine on either platform. There'll be a lot of scripting issues, like Vindictus, DCUO, and LOCO for quite some time, and an ancient game called Graal before they turned P2P parts that allowed it into server-based. Pretty sure it will be a cluster*@&! for a while.

P2P is a huge security risk on PC. If it's P2P then I'm not touching it with a 10 ft pole on PC. It might be a hot game bit it sure as hell ain't worth getting a virus.

The statement regarding the lack of dedicated servers also applies to the PC release, sadly. Bungie and its supporting guardians on that platform will have to find out how painful (and more costly in the long run) being cheap is through experience on that one.
