I'm on the fence between PC or PS4. The experience in PC gaming is mich smoother but I've accumulated a rather large ragtag group of Destiny aficionados on PS. I don't really want to start over but I also really want the smoothness of PC gaming.

I would hold off on PC if you enjoy playing PvP. Otherwise, you'll be fine on either platform. There'll be a lot of scripting issues, like Vindictus, DCUO, and LOCO for quite some time, and an ancient game called Graal before they turned P2P parts that allowed it into server-based. Pretty sure it will be a cluster*@&! for a while.

P2P is a huge security risk on PC. If it's P2P then I'm not touching it with a 10 ft pole on PC. It might be a hot game bit it sure as hell ain't worth getting a virus.

Edited by Mister Nice Guy: 5/24/2017 12:43:33 PMThe statement regarding the lack of dedicated servers also applies to the PC release, sadly. Bungie and its supporting guardians on that platform will have to find out how painful (and more costly in the long run) being cheap is through experience on that one.
Destiny is coming to PC for the first time with Destiny 2, and there already appear to be growing pains. Not only is the PC release likely launching after the console versions, but PC project lead David Shaw said that neither version’s multiplayer will run on its own servers. “It is a complicated topology,” Shaw told PC Gamer in an interview following Destiny 2’s live gameplay reveal yesterday. “We do not have dedicated servers for Destiny 2 on PC.”
#feelsbadman Maybe they'll learn once enough people get malware running Destiny 2...

I believe the pc release date is a few months after the initial release

I was thinking it would be cool if the progress of your charactet carries over from pc to console so people like yourself could play on both with the same character. Probaly will nevee happen though.
